And WiFi 6 if you care about such things.Intel Details 10th Gen Comet Lake-H for 45 W Notebooks: Up to 5.3 GHz*

Based on this it looks like 10th gen CPUs for the 16" will stay at the same base clocks, but have higher theoretical turbos. Oh and 2933MHz DDR4 memory support. Also I doubt there are any new Navi GPUs for the 16" so I would expect little to no update for that model this year.
Comet Lake does support LPDDR4X 2933 but it looks like that the HK series with the likes of the i9 supports full power DDR4 at the same speedAnd WiFi 6 if you care about such things.
I wonder if they would choose to switch to LPDDR4X with Comet Lake for the 16", or stay full power DDR4?
Is full power DDR4 faster? Honestly don’t know that much about the difference.Comet Lake does support LPDDR4X 2933 but it looks like that the HK series with the likes of the i9 supports full power DDR4 at the same speed
I’m not sure if it is but if they’re both 2933mhz I’d assume that’s the sameIs full power DDR4 faster? Honestly don’t know that much about the difference.
Yeah the Y series definitely didn’t I don’t think it was planned to. Hopefully the new 13/14” will be released soon with LPDDR4X 3733 because it seems weird that the Air has faster RAM than the ProFor LPDDR4X support for Comet Lake it depends on the stepping. I know the initial shipments of Comet Lake Y/U did not support it.
UsTB4 ... 40 GbpsVery impressed with the Ryzen 4900HS after reading the Tom's Hardware review. Could it fit inside a 13" MBP? Never say never, but I'm inclined to think Apple would be a launch partner if they had made this work. I would still bet on Ice Lake 28W for the 13" MBP if it is coming in June.
But there are much more exciting things on the horizon if we see MBP refreshes in the late fall.
"Van Gogh" continues to be a thing AMD is working on and evidence still points to it being an RDNA2 APU. There's also a "Van Gogh Lite." These could be welcome additions to the MBP 13 and 16.

But there's also this rumored dreamboat from Intel:

8 cores at 10nm and 45W... hard to believe. But a 16" MBP with a Mini-LED display, 8 Willow Cove cores, PCIe 4 and 4266MHz LPDDR4 memory would be hard to look away from. Very much a dream machine.
With strong rumours of an iPhone SE launch today we hopefully could get a new MacBook Pro launch too
It's really a shame a lot of manufacturers had already inked deals to put these 10th gen chips in their machines. Hopefully they will make an effort to get some AMD SKUs out as well, they really deserve the business this go round! These dropped today. Benchmarks compare AMD's mobile star, the ASUS-exclusive 4900HS, with Intel's upcoming Comet Lake parts.

More context here. It's one benchmark, but if we take it at face value, AMD surpassing Intel in the 15" notebook space isn't a future event -- it's already happened.
As expected, Intel eeks out a victory in single-core performance. Comet Lake's much-vaunted pass through the 5GHz barrier pushes that number high. But the difference is narrow. Meanwhile, AMD's lead in multicore performance is, well, huge. Keep in mind the i9-10880H and 4900HS actually have the same number of cores/threads: this is a pure architecture superiority. And not pictured in this chart is the performance of the integrated GPU. These are *Lake parts, using Intel's UHD graphics, which Vega will trounce easily.
But won't Intel's chips have better power management? Yes -- and that's actually the secret of their single-core performance -- but keep in mind also that the 4900HS is already a 35W part. This gap has shrunk too.
It's clear that Intel needs to get its Cove cores in multicore, 35W+ configurations fast. Especially if rumors are true that AMD will have another APU out this year.
Yeah I was pretty much set on upgrading my 2013 13" MBP with the 14" MBP whenever it releases... Now that Zephyrus has me at least considering that. The 16GB/1TB/2060 Max-Q model will be $1,449 here. With a 120hz screen and over 10 hours of battery life? Damn...These benchmarks & the review of the Asus Zephyrus G14 make me re-re-(re-...-re-)consider getting a non-Apple laptop again. The Zephyrus with 16GB+1TB official price is €2100 here, which is €1200 (!) cheaper than the MBP 16" in that base configuration.
