Maybe, but might as well wait a week before giving up on Fall. If the Mac Pro is released but no MacBook Pro comes, we'll know.
The other likely option is, they are gonna have an intimate event for a special select few reviewers at their loft in New York. They have done that in the past to demo the performance of MacBook Pro's used by artists, scientists and engineers.

:D

We are still talking about tech products, right? haha

Things are gonna get wild with all those artist, scientists and engineers in loft together. Especially when you throw in a sexy new machine.

I mentioned this back in late September, looks like its gonna be March 2020 after all.

What makes this so definitive for you? Are you receiving information directly from Apple?

I beg to differ. Two products that are allegedly in the manufacturing process. And I don't say it in a definitive manner.

We know for a fact that 10.15.1 brings Navi support. Since Mac Pro is not using Navi, there is only one likely explanation. We are definitely getting new Apple hardware by the end of November, be it a 16” model or something else entirely.

I am cautiously optimistic, my 13" might be getting an early upgrade :).

In terms of possible press releases for announcing availability of AirPods, 16"MacBook Pro, Mac Pro...

1 factor is that Apple has their earnings call this coming Wednesday. A lot of people originally assumed that there would be an event on Tuesday since its odd for them to schedule the call on a Wednesday.

So perhaps there is a press release/product release scheduled for Tuesday.

We don’t even know if the thing is real, and you want screen dimensions ?

Well, we do know that Apple always uses an aspect ration of 16:10. And we know that they usually have 220 DPI displays. I wonder if anyone's done the calculation. When I play around with the numbers, I'd get weird display sizes unlike any on the market. Like 3120x1950, which at 16.4" delivers a bit more than 224 DPI.

But do most rumors put the size at 16.4" or rather 16" or something?

Sorry to burst your bubble, but that’s probably eGPU support, for the RX 5700.

so I just had a terrible thought....
what if the Navi support is just for the eGPU and has nothing to do with a new product.

When did Apple ever release a GPU driver for hardware they did not ship themselves? Navi GPUs have been around since July. If its meant only for eGPU, why didn't they release it with Catalina? Or even 10.14.6? No, the timing is just too suspicious. But I suppose we'll see either way next week.

They could also simply put in drivers for a BTO option of a mobile Navi variant like the 5500M for the current 15“ MBP just like they did with the Vega options last year.
And like others have said eGPU Option and I don’t see why the new Mac Pro shouldn’t be able to install a normal 5700XT in it as well.

anyone know when this beta on Catalina is coming out with Navi? It's on build 4 right so normally about 7-10?
That would imply 3-6 weeks before we get the device with Navi.
