Thank you Apple for 100W battery...and thanks for the new thermal design !

I wonder what the battery life improvement will look like over the previous 15", must be quite significant!
i will test it like hell...i am having the 2018 model...and i get around 8-9 hours for light usage..and around 3-4 hours of heavy usage

I believe I heard in one of the reviews that it gives an extra hour.

Going from 83.6Wh to 100Wh is probably a lot more than an hour (I hope). I do know Apple advertises the 15" 2019 at 10 hours and the 16" at 11 hours on the tech specs, but I think there is more to the story - these estimates seem very vague seeing as they give the same battery rating also to the Air as the 13" Pro despite the Air clearly having hours more battery life.

Agreed. Apple tends to be very fluffy when it comes to tech specs, for some reason.

Don't they rate the Air as 12-13h and the Pro 13 as 10h? Though I seem to remember reviewers saying the new Air slightly underperforms, unlike the 2017 model which could realistically do 12h proper usage...

The thing is...the 2018 didnt last 10 hours with light usage...but around 8-9h...10hours i obtain only with around 150-200nits...
This time, i really think its 11 hours for real and not again 8-9 hours

You are correct - I must be thinking of the nTB (which had weaker processor and bigger battery at one point in time) vs the 13" TB which on release back in 2016 had a sub 50Wh battery) - yet both were shown to have same battery life.

....i was hoping for more detailed based and how those compare with the 555X/560X/Vega 20
Sorry...yes its based on navi 14 RDNA architecture
That I can't help because I'm largely ignorant when it comes to GPUs ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I want to order one too, unfortunately “around the corner” syndrome has got me. In June they will probably update it with 10th gen Intel and WiFi 6 (but I don’t expect the webcam to ever change).

Are those Navi cards? I assume they will run cooler than Vega, and (especially) Polaris which will be nice even if I'm not going to be making much use of it!
yes they are based on navi 14 RDNA 7nm architecture

If you want the 14" yes, there will be 10th gen with wifi6...but the 16" will not have wifi 6 until late 2020 or 2021

Definitly the better choice than the MacPro for People that do not need full 3D render speed on their Mac. You even get 1TB SSD as base and a faster GPU. Nice, I consider to buy one instead of the MacPro.

I read this on the front page:

As noted by Daring Fireball's John Gruber, there is about 0.5mm more space between keys. He also notes that the Touch Bar has been moved slightly further above the top row of keys to help avoid accidental touches.

Really good of them to add more space between touchbar and keyboard to eliminate accidental touches.

That's good... I don't game or really do anything intensive on my Macs but better battery life and not spinning the fans up just for Google Maps/ Street View will be nice!
