Hi,
In BETA version 3 and 4 in running training I have a problem with GPS by which individual training for example Run 100m and normalize 100m with each time is different 😂 GPS problem?

In addition, the second problem I was able to detect today is external heart rate monitor. In BETA 3 it seemed ok in version 4 the "green LED" lights up during training. Despite the connected external heart rate sensor polar h10.
Interestingly when I use the heart rate monitor without training the app gets the heart rate from the belt - it does not light up the "green LED".

How do you lock the screen in workouts now please ? I did a cycle run today using OS 10 beta 4 and the work out stopped and ended. It was raining heavy and my jacket/glove must of stopped it, I can't see any way lock the screen on OS 10

Battery life on beta 3 was quite good (almost as good as WatchOS 9) on my Ultra. On beta 4, it's a bit random, it was good the first couple of days but since then I have noticed that I have excessive drain during the night, sometimes.
I usually charge my watch before going to sleep and wake in the morning with 93-96% left, but on beta 4 it has been more like 85-90%. Nothing too crazy or annoying of course. Things should get polished from now on with the upcoming August beta updates.

I’ve noticed the same. Some days I get 3-4% an hour drain others 6%. Not bad, but will only get better. 3-4% is on par with OS9.

SSS7 45mm Battery health 85%.

Will probably put the ultra on the beta from Beta 5 or 6.

Same here. First 2 days I told that wos9 life is back and now it drains faster. I hope they fix this.

Having a new development on this beta that I hadn’t seen before; want to canvas here before I report: getting notifications (haptic), but no notification showing on the watch - apps like Gmail, Okta Verify, etc. Matter of fact, even consistent message notifications seem to be an issue in this build for me. No settings have changed (on my part; none I can see systemwide).

AWU
(have tested with phone, iPad, and Mac off to ensure there are no Handoff conflicts)
I've got the same problem, but I think it started happening from B3, at least this is when I've noticed to happen. For me, I've got issues with intermittent NO notifications, on my watch. No sound, no haptic, just nothing. I can receive e-mail/iMessage/TXT Message etc and not get a notification on my watch. I've reset my watch to factory and set it up as new watch and still the same, yesterday had iMessage from my mother, wasn't aware she send me a message until I picked up my phone later (30min after received the message), but no notification on the watch, but then if she/or someone else message me later, I'll get notification with haptic and sound also will appear on my watch.

Having the same issues watch is beta and iOS beta. iPhone 13 Pro Max and Apple Watch Series 6. No notifications coming to watch. Rebooting both devices fixes it for a few minutes. Incredibly frustrating as I rely on texts coming to my watch. 😡🤬

My beta 4 is getting great battery life, text message, and email alerts on my AWU

Beta 4 has been horrible for me in terms of battery for my Ultra. I’m literally down to 10% halfway through the day after an overnight charge. Strange because the first three were not a same day issue, meaning it may have drained faster than normal but plenty of juice to get me on the charger after work. I take my watch off the charger at 3:00 AM and put it back on at 6:00 PM every day. Today I had to charge it at work or it would have died.

Looking forward to the next beta. Maybe tomorrow is the day they go to weekly releases.

By using the side button to bring up control center and selecting water lock in there, as it's always available now, not just on watch face.

Are you able to just put it in 'water-mode' from control center while your workout is going?

Edit: I just tried it and it still showed my workout numbers on screen, it's just water locked now. So I'm guessing that's the best way to do it.

Hi

Yes that works thanks but does feel like a step backwards in features. In the OS 9 you could just start a workout and then press Lock Screen there and then. Seems odd that you need to step outside the app to lock a screen now

But yes it works - Thanks everyone who helped with this idea

Hi guys, i'm looking to install the beta on my apple watch. Does it work ok with an iPhone on ios 16?

Don't want to install beta on my iPhone yet.

The main thing I need to ensure that is working ok between my Watch and iPhone, is the Fitness App Syncing ok. (Tracking Runs)

Thanks.

The iPhone iOS 17 beta actually seems to be more stable than the Watch OS.

Watch OS 10 will work with iOS 16 but you can't convert downward once you install it. There are a few reported bugs on Watch OS.

If running tracking is important for you perhaps better wait for the GPS bug to be fixed. (See the thread I mentioned just above your post.)

You won't be able run watchOS 10 with iOS 16, as it requires a phone running iOS 17.

I hate that I can’t just slide sideways from one Watch face to another. What used to take one gesture now takes three. I cannot see any justification for the change since the old method does not create a conflict with any of the new gestures.
Please do report it via the Feedback app. The more complaints the higher is the chance they’ll fix it… thanks!
