Finally just unpaired and set up my watch as new (phone running 18b4 too) and what a difference. I know it may be temporary but I was losing 25-30% with overnight sleep tracking and last night I lost 10% which is within normal range for me

How bad is the battery life on Beta 4? I have an Ultra 2. Can the battery last all day with a 90 minute workout and playing music from the watch? For example.
I ran a 25K with the watch (no music though) on Saturday in roughly two hours and battery lasted me till around midnight from morning. Usually I can go around 24 hours with watchOS 10 full charge, go to sleep with it and track a run next day. Now a bit less but maybe not massively

How is the Beta running. I’m thinking of installing 18 on my phone but not sure about the watch as I can’t revert back
Basically in watchOS 11 beta, it is a revamp of mostly how your Apple Watch pays close attention to your daily fitness needs via additional functions like Training Load where it categorizes your workouts through rating each workout from 1-10 based on difficulty levels. It can determine if you need to rest after doing a lot of resistance and strength training, or add in some workouts to brighten your rings. If you are unable to workout or had a long-term injury pausing your rings is also available.

Also, as it is restricted to only the Apple Watch Series 6 and later due to the older chips S4 and S5 used in Apple Watch Series 4, Apple Watch Series 5 and Apple Watch SE 1, asides lacking advanced health sensors, the Vitals app provides an additional gateway to the Training Load and Sleep app built in the watchOS to comprise your normal vital signs throughout everything your Apple Watch can determine if your health needs are improving or too high/low. It can only determine by your sleep tracking data as the body is mostly not dependent on lots of activity and energy, so your resting heart rate, wrist temperature from baseline (Apple Watch Series 8 and later/Apple Watch ultra), blood oxygen (Apple Watch Series 6 to 8 only), respiratory rate and sleep duration are measured.

There is only one watch face which is the updated Photos face but there’s a few things to consider. Beware that the Siri face, Explorer, Numerals, and Portrait will be deleted upon updating. If you still have them in watchOS 10 or earlier, they will be replaced with Infograph, Numerals Mono or Infograph Modular respectively and Portraits Faces will be not editable anymore. Some beta versions will drain a bit more battery as well especially sleep tracking will drain more battery by 30% instead of 10-20% so prepare to charge your Watch beforehand. No speed issues on my S6 so far.

Been running great on my AW Series 9. No major issues that I've found. Battery life has been maybe 5-10% worse, which isn't terrible for a beta.

Similar experience as jkel. Running fine on my Ultra 1.

Battery is a bit worse compared to watchOS 10, but not by much. I still get easily anywhere between 36 and 48 hours of battery life depending on the number of workouts. Nowadays, I top it off every evening or during the morning anyway, I rarely let it go under 30-40%.

Wow - I have a bit worse battery. With an hour run a day it can just creep up to the 24 hour mark. But too curious about the beta so will survive.

Almost back on par with battery life on my AWU 2, fully charged on Monday night (9ish) and i'm now at 30%. I dont think i've ever used the watch without doing any workouts so i think i could get 3 days out of it without working out.
And by not being on a beta.

Hours bike ride to work this morning and 4 dog walks 30/45 minutes each were the GPS useage over that time too.

Might see if i can last it out until i get home tonight, with another hour on the bike to go.

I've been running both the iOS and WatchOS betas since inception. Honestly, I have not had many issues, if any. Current betas are 2-3-4 away from RC and very stable for me. YMMV, but I wouldn't sweat it.

If you installed 18.1 last week, you won’t get the 18.0 beta 5 push.
I don't know...this morning I had a new Beta on my AW Series 8, and I'm currently running 18.1 on my Series 15 Pro.

The watch OS version is 22R5328e. I'm assuming that was Beta 5?

I guess this watchOS 11 has something enabled that I can’t get rid of. Just installed.

On the watch face where you get the red dot for notifications, it is now constantly hidden below a blue square with a white circle in it that shrinks and grows slightly. Anyone have any inclination what it is, and how I can turn it off? It can’t be tapped, so no idea what is doing it. Shazam… disabled. I think the only thing I suggested it to do was vitals for sleeping. Apple Watch 9 if anyone thinks that matters…

It might be a live activity, that's the only thing I can think of. I've seen that happen for Lyft and GrubHub. Their icons show up where the red dot would show, and the icons kinda pulse.
