I wasn’t able to see them on the watch app but saw them on the watch itself.
Nvm y’all it’s available for all Apple Watches running watchOS 11 RC. It looks nice and is the first reflective face, here’s the flagship gold color represented on an Apple Watch Series 6 gold stainless: IMG_3585.jpeg

No playing music through the speaker om me AWU1. That’s just plain ugly marketing from Apple. This while you can download the Streamlets app from the App Store and play radio stations through the speaker just fine.

There’s definitely something fudged up with the battery on watchOS 11. Some days are stellar and some days are crap.

Topped up my AWU1 yesterday morning at 97% after waking up, spent the day with it, had a 90 min workout with it in the evening. Went to bed at 56% and woke up 7 hours later at 49%. So, pretty solid.

This morning, similar routine, I top it to 100% just after waking up, start my day and suddenly after not even one hour I already lost 5%, which is very unusual. Had to reboot to stop the drain. I’m starting to wonder if there is something bugged in the sleep tracking and/or syncing.
No trying to be alarmist or what, since it's still very early after the update, but this morning after waking up, similar drain after my morning charge. Hopefully a simple reboot fixes it like it did on the previous beta.

Weird. The event that talked about it also added it to the Ultra 2, which just got a new color. Both the gens of AW Ultra have the same speaker; just different brightnesses and Series 9 features.

Installed the RC last night and woke up this morning to find the battery level had dropped like a stone. Hopefully it’s just the watch adjusting to the update and will settle down,

RC isn’t looking good. At all. Activity app is completely broken for me and doesn’t react to input via Digital Crown. Is anyone else having this issue? I already did a hard reset, didn’t fix it..

I'm really hoping that the pool/open water swim temperature feature isn't just exclusive to the U2 and s9/10. That would really irk me as this is a feature I've wanted for a while and the U1 has the temp sensor so is totally capable.
I don't like this software lock approach that was always my bugbear with Garmin.

Battery doing well so far. 6km run this morning with music streaming and cellular plus lots of intermittent checking, 80%. Obviously need to see how the battery behaves over a longer period but it’s certainly looking much better

Please keep us updated. I really want to update but battery is my main concern.

AW Ultra 1. Battery life for me since GM…. Fully charged at 21:00. Worn all night for sleep tracking, 90 minute workout. Approaching 17 hours since full charge and at 71%. Let’s see how the next 24 hours go!

Looking very promising! I am on 76% now since a full charge at 6:45am and did 6km running.

Ultra Watch v1 with 22R349

Did a tempo run in the park today. 3km loops. Using a custom workout, the compass would pop up at certain times, throwing the workout app into the background.. or it would just go to the home screen. While I could get back to the workout app and it was still running, rather annoying when I'm up to my eyeballs in lactate acid praying there's only 1km left...

Had a look at the settings during recovery and there is a setting called "Backtrack in Workout". I turned that off and the problem didn't reacur. But I need to test this more to say for sure that was it.

I've logged a bug in Feedback.

Uh? You have had the water temperature on your watch since day one. This is nothing new. This was just added to the S10 as the non ultras didn’t have it.

Same. Activity app on the infograph face often goes blank.

Water temps can show up in dive/swim workouts in all gens AW Ultra, and the Series 10 Apple Watch. This is measured by the same sensor used for measuring body temperature with your wrist.

Have you tried it? There was nothing new added in the keynote that the U1 couldn’t do measuring the temp of the water.

This link is from 2022, this is not what was released in the watchOS 11 RC.
I don’t have watchOS11 yet I prefer to wait for the proper release. I have no swims recorded previously with any water temp info either on the watch or on the post analysis on the phone. Fingers crossed.

I decided to jump in with my Series 9.

My battery life had been tanking hard. I normally go to bed with 70-80% battery. It’s been 5 hours and I’m at 68% 😳

I have seen nothing that suggest that you can get water temperature measurements on Ultra durning workouts. I have not personally tested it, but everything except the speaker playing music and sleep apnea is coming to the first Ultra or has in the watchOS 11 RC.

My Ultra 2 battery is definitely better now with the RC installed. Battery was at about 55% after 12 hours but that included 12km running, streaming music during the run and cellular on as well. Suspect cellular just being on uses some battery.

Decided to reset/restore my Watch today just to get a “clean” install after numerous betas so I won’t get a full pattern over a day.

Then it applies to all gens of Apple Watch Ultra. The Ultra 2 borrows features from the Series 9 only.
