I’m not sure what’s going on for you guys. Here’s where it showed up for me:
Apparently, the Sleep Apnea function is enabled in 18.0, but it is NOT enabled in 18.1 beta 3 or beta 4.

I guess we have to hope that it gets enabled in 18.1 beta 5.

Read the thread. It’s not appearing in the dev betas.

Been reading the thread since watchOS 11 beta 1 thanks, i must've not seen the couple of posts regrding sleep apnea not showing in 18.1, i do apologise (i don't rally care, i'm being sarcastic) but many people have also been asking where to set this up so i thought i'd post the info for those that are not on iOS 18.1 beta.

I am on the official watchOS 11 release on my AWU2. No noticeable difference in battery life compared to watchOS 10.
Did two runs since release, same consumption.

Yeah i'm still getting the same, about 2 days with a up to 3 hours of workouts each day. Would probably squeeze 3 days if i was lazy.

Can anyone add new locations to the Tides App (after deleting the default locations)?
On mine, the "+" is not reacting at all.

This!!! . Not worth it, just get back on the beta with the new devices if you so choose.
Unfortunately for me, I loaded 18.1 on my 15 Pro Max a while ago and this is still in beta and not an RC. I didn't realize Apple was putting out two different betas at the time. I saw it and installed it. The 16 Pro Max will ship with 18.0 RC, so I will be sitting in the store while they load 18.1 b4 on the new phone before I can restore my backup. Unfortunately, I don't have an 18.0 backup. Jeesh, I did everything to safeguard against this and put out a PSA. Figures Apple deviated from the norm and hasn't put out an 18.1 RC.

Oh no!!! Yes they didn't really do a good job telling people that 18.1 would be hanging in beta for a while after the 16s were released. Unfortunate for you, and I am sure others that didn't realize it. Hopefully it won't take too long. Now 18.1 is available for all phones supported on 18, but I want no part. Going with the software loaded on the 16 pro when I get it.

So I have pretty much pinpointed the battery drain for me. My Ultra series 1 mostly does great on watchOS 11, but the new live activities is the only thing that eats at the battery. Not sure why it needs to take so much battery, but the days that I have live activities from sports is the time my battery is about 10-20% worse than normal.

That was my plan too! Oh well, I have done this dance several times. I was just hoping to get out of the store quickly because I am getting on a plane a few hours later. I always get an 8:00 pickup time, but somehow only 12:30 was the first when I ordered. Literally just wanted to start the restore, give them back my 15PM and hit the road.

Good to know 18.1 is out for all phones now. I think it is still not released to public beta. I hope they have no issue putting it on the new 16PM.

You should be good. I don’t think it will take long at all. Just sucks having to wait for your new phone. Hopefully no issues at all. At least you will already be on the AI train with your 16PM.

Did you update to watchOS 11.1 as well?

I believe this is the same with my ultra 2. I didn’t have any games on Monday and the battery was fine but there were games yesterday and the watch drained a lot faster. I thought it was the sleep apnea but just not sure. I definitely noticed the draining start yesterday and I have been on the RC since it came out.

Yeah battery is great without Live Activities. I don't want to turn them off because I have been waiting the scores on my watch since Live Activities were introduced. Hopefully they can figure this out.

I updated my ultra watch this morning to Os11. It is the official release and also the official release of IOS 18 on my 15 pro max. Since then I am not getting haptic feedback on my watch when an email comes in. Message haptics still work, it’s just emails. I did not change anything after the update so don’t know why it has stopped working. I have been trying to get it to work all morning. Mirror my iPhone with just vibrate and no tone uses to work. Is it a bug?

I did this morning. I figured what the hell, I can't go back to 18 on the phone and I am not getting a new Watch Friday. I finally have the new face gallery on my watch phone app.

Nice! Has anything changed on 11.1? I am holding off as I have the Black Ultra 2 coming on Friday.

Probably because it’s dependent on the iPhone for updates to the scores and play-by-play, so there’s this constant talking back and forth between the two devices. I wish they’d make it independent on the watch.

Agreed, but also the new Sports app seems to have taken a step back with battery drain compared to the TV app with live activities. It looks better with the Sports app, but I feel like the battery drain is worse.

⚔️ no wonder. It confused non iPhone 15 pro and earlier users to think we would get Apple intelligence-like Siri UI, but that ain’t happening. Too early to spill beans 🫘

I don’t use the sports app live activities, i use the ones from their respective apps like MLB, NBA, and NFL. Even the live activities from my water tracking app does not drain the battery of my iPhone.

Maybe those work better, but do they start automatically?

They did a great job designing the Live Activities for the Sports app, both on the phone and the watch. The color gradient on the watch version and the layout of the phone version are gorgeous.
