Wow thank you for the message..
I am still waiting to receive the natural with Milanese loop…
As I read on watch os 11 you don’t have to install any app regarding the sleep mode .
Yeah Siri is also a good option because I am using shortcuts and will help me!!
Nice color! Titanium Milanese loop has been back ordered for the latecomer pre order folks, I heard from some Apple Watch Ultra users who ordered a bit later were bummed out that they had to wait until October if they ordered it to be delivered as a separate band. If it comes together with your Apple Watch Ultra 2, the delay would not be too long. You can also explore other bands to suit your needs such as The Trail Loop.

I did mention that no third party sleep app is required to sleep track outside the Sleep Focus. The Peaks app is supplemental material that adds on to your healthy lifestyle; it just requires you to use the native Sleep app on your Apple Watch Ultra to make it work. It expands it to productivity no matter if you are a busy person doing long hours of work or filled with stress.

While you wait for your Apple Watch Ultra 2 to arrive, you can watch this introduction to Siri Shortcuts demonstrated by an Apple Watch Ultra user with links to the shortcuts that you can program to the Action Button. If you have not done so yet, get a dedicated charging station for your Apple Watch, AirPods and iPhone to charge together neatly on your nightstand. Depending on preferences or the iPhone you have, there are MagSafe, wireless charging and conventional charging options available for these docking stations. Some can even charge horizontally which is a sweet spot for Standby.

Anyone know why apple removed the time spent in bed from the sleep tracking? Since watchos11 it is no longer being shown.

Apple advertise the Ultra battery life at "up to 36 hours" with normal usage. And that since the first Ultra, I believe. It was never advertised as a 2+ days device on normal usage, even if it is capable of it with light usage. It is only advertised as up to 72 hours if you run it on low power mode, which trims quite a lot of key features imho.
I’d probably get 3 days usage out of my ultra 2 with light usage, get 2 days usually with my usual usage that involves over 2 hours of workouts with GPS.

live activities on the watch for me is a game changer
You may like it but keep an eye on your battery life. For a lot of people live activities seems to be the main cause of battery drain. I’ve just lost 6% in under an hour on my Ultra, which coincided with today’s football matches kicking off. I’ve now turned off live activities as a result.

I'm really enjoying the vitals and the training load feature on the watch. Since the pandemic, I started enjoying working out. 1) mainly for my mental health and 2) I just feel so freeing after getting a workout in. I love seeing the data and learn more about myself in my workouts. I have yet to do sleep tracking though. Also been enjoying the live activities and the smoother animation when a notification comes through.

The one thing I do wish/hope to see on the watch is the music haptic accessibility feature that the iPhone currently has with the latest IOS drop. I'm Deaf with cochlear implants, and I have this feature turned on, on my phone. and I've been enjoying it so much for when I don't want to wear my cochlear implants. I hoped to also have this accessibility feature on the watch but I didn't see it. IMO I think that the watch would/should be able to handle this accessibility feature.

Apple should add that feature to watchOS, but here’s why they did not add it in the first place. You cannot feel it if a timer, alarm or phone call goes off.

The haptics of the Apple Watch ⌚️ are a core feature of every Apple Watch since the first one in 2015. If they put it in watchOS it would be more quieter than the iPhone vibrating to the beat of the music as it will be on your wrist all the time. With the iPhone vibrating on music haptics it does get noticeable, even if you place the iPhone on a hollow surface like a thin box or on a plastic dock.

How’s battery life on watchOS 11.1 developer beta 5 everyone? I felt like the battery of my Apple Watch lasted so long… I charged it after sleep tracking for a bit to 90% this morning, and wore it until it dipped to 17% by 6pm today after a workout 🏋️

I'm on the current public Beta (2?)... not sure if that is the same or not. This is the first watchOS 11 that has allowed me to do two days again. I ended the first day at 56% and woke with around 44%. It's still not as good as what it was on Watch OS10 but seems to be getting better again now. AWU1.

I am on developer beta 5, and it is the first Watch OS 11 beta that allows my Watch 8 to last two days. Previously, all watch OS 11 betas only lasted one day, at most while Watch OS 10 lasted two days.

I think they finally got the battery situation fixed with the latest developer beta.

Yay 😁 finally an Apple Watch Ultra user said that they don’t need to charge it once or twice a day anymore!!! Only every 2-3 days is normal regardless of the generation of the Apple Watch Ultra.

Surprised 😳 to see you even do that on the Apple Watch Series 8. How old is it, and what its maximum battery capacity in battery health? Do you use low Power Mode?

My AW8 is about 20 months old and has battery health around 97%. No low Power Mode. However, it is GPS only. No cellular as my iPhone is always nearby.

🤯 since launch day?! Amazing how you take care of your Apple Watch. ⌚️ Battery health is still very good 😊 do you sleep track with it? How often do you charge your Apple Watch ? Since it is not a cellular model the cellular usage isn’t a major coefficient of battery drain.

This is the first time (Beta 11.1) since updating my Apple Watch 7 to watchOS 10 that battery life is actually decent. I have 83% battery health and before watchOS 11.1 I was at 3%-7% at the end of the day. Now I am constantly at 38%-48%

Sounds like great news! How long did you have your Apple Watch Series 7 and how much battery health is it?

My AW7 went from 2 days usage to less than one day and behaves completely weird, i.e. Talking to me when I use Carplay. Can I install one of the 11.1 betas while keeping my iPhone at 18.0?

I do sleep with it for sleep tracking. I found the key is not to let the battery drain below 20%. If possible, I always charge it when it gets to around 25-30%

No your iPhone must be at either 18.1 beta 4 or 5. I had to downgrade my iPhone last night to 18.1 beta 4 from beta 5 because it acted up during Apple fitness+ long workout and I also did Apple intelligence trick. My Apple Watch has been updated to 11.1 beta 2 and still works fine. No need to unpair your Apple Watch if you are downgrading via Finder or iTunes, just get a backup done, hold down the option or shift key when you click on update.

Same, I always charge my Apple Watch to prepare it for sleep tracking when I catch up on the last few emails of the day and wind down.

I like the oxygen sensor so I’m keeping it…do all the watches from 9 on remove it?
All Apple Watch series 10 and the Apple Watch Ultra 2 in black titanium won’t have this feature anymore. Apple Watch series 9 bought prior to mid January 2024 such as launch day models including the Apple Watch Ultra 2 in natural titanium will still have it as long as the model number does not end up with LW/A.

An Apple Watch Series 6 to the Apple Watch series 8 will still have blood oxygen even if you buy it new this year.
