Us outside the US still have it - so all watches should have it, but just deactivated for now in the US while the dispute is ongoing
Lost track on this bizarre issue. Wasn't it even the case that only watches sold by Apple in US directly were affected? So watches sold by retailers were ok?

I think that was in a limited time where watches that had already been shipped to the retailers still had it activated.

But as I'm from Europe I don't really read that much about it.

My AW8 is about 20 months old and has battery health around 97%. No low Power Mode. However, it is GPS only. No cellular as my iPhone is always nearby.

My AW8 is about 18 months old and battery health is down to 90%. Gps only, and never use low power mode.

I'm on the betas for both the watch and iPhone and i am rarely getting any message "pop-ups" on my watch. It just is there. Is this a beta issue?

Which Betas? I'm on 11.1 Beta 2 on my AW7 and 18.1 Beta 5 on my 15PM---all notifications come through my watch.
And as a FYI, beta 3 of watchOS 11.1 developer beta has been taken down by Apple. It bricked 🧱 hundreds of Apple Watch users.

Ouch glad I missed it.
Thanks god I did not update as well. I also downgraded my iPhone to iOS 18.1 beta 4 as my iPhone kept automatically quitting my long Fitness+ workouts (only on the 30 minute or longer ones). Apple Watch wearers who did the update to watchOS 11.1 beta 3 complained about freezing apps, and boot loops. Some had to go to the Apple Store to get their watches checked out by the geniuses and put them back to normal as it is rendered unusable!

Yeah, I got lucky and missed the last one, I figure they learned their lesson. Could it really happen again, lol! Just finished, not bricked.

All good so far. This update enables sleep apnea detection for the series 10 and AW2. Unfortunately, I have an AW1, but I don’t sleep with my watch on anyway.

No noticeable difference in watch performance.

On a side note, when is Tapatalk going to get their crap together and fix the corruption problem? 18 is out, no excuses.

At least there’s no 🧱 bricking of Apple Watches ⌚️ in the 4th beta vs beta 3 of watchOS 11.1, going to install it on my Apple Watch tonight. Not updating my iPhone to beta 6 yet, I still need to get away from the Fitness + glitches and keep the Apple intelligence, AOD hacks on my iPhone.

Managed to hit 32 hours (nothing disabled) including two nights of sleep tracking and a 30 minute LTE run with streamed (not downloaded) music to my AirPods. The rest of the day was relatively low key but first time in a while I could get this far on a non Ultra. S10 46mm.

No way! No low power mode on either and use cellular? Unbelievable how long that Apple Watch series 10 battery lasts!

Did you get watchOS 11.1 beta 3 before it got taken down by Apple? If you did, was there any problems? I feel bad for these affected Apple Watch users who had their watches stricken by the corrupt firmware of the previous beta. I hope Apple lets these users get their watches restored for free of charge or an express replacement for those with AppleCare +, at an Apple Store or from an Apple authorized repair shop so they can continue using watchOS as normal.

The engineers behind watchOS should have ironed out any issues prior to release.

i did not install beta 3 ,trust factor in beta has diminished and has many predictable comments say "its beta blah blah" which is pretty much non constructive arrogance .so i just take the safe or wise approach unfortunately not every country has an efficient apple care+ support like my airpods pro2 5 weeks to resolve (no explanation ! just sent a new pair without ever being able to use original pair i purchased sometimes an explanation eases the frustration )..

Thank goodness you didn’t get the beta 3. I was about to say if you downloaded it before Apple cut it down and you still did the smart move. The bricking and looping within the corrupted watchOS 11.1 developer beta 3 would have landed millions of Apple Watch wearers into turmoil and put a huge strain on Apple Store Genius Bar and the repair/support providers if Apple decided not to take it off the shelves.

I have already seen that feeling when I read about the beta 3 and the experiences shared by Apple Watch users around YouTube as well. Even one YTer had a thumbnail of Tim Cook saying to take away watchOS 11.1 beta 3 on an Apple Watch ⌚️ for the sake of tim Apple…

apple care +
sounds good but all boils down to the staff personnel your dealing with. my case airpod pro 2 one hour old !!! went and sat in coffee shop nearby for hour or so to charge would not connect as a pair went back to store was told have to send them to service regardless of only one hour after purchased !! i was fuming to put it politely his supervisor on day off !! he didn’t have the authority to exchange i was going nuts but the checkout computer refused the exchange transaction and nothing the young personel could do . 5 weeks later i received a new pair . sorry to be off topic but apple care is all down to who your dealing with. probably same case with apple watch anomalies

The Genius at the Apple Store wasn’t able to provide you a replacement AirPods Pro for the battery issue, right? Apple usually does not directly replace the battery of an individual AirPod due to its enclosed nature making it difficult to cut it open without damaging ribbon cables. Only the earpiece has the area where the two halves split open.

think you misread they were an hour old i returned to store one hour after purchase. not a battery issue simply would not pair both only left airpod connected anyway i would not use the term genius but refrain from how i would describe 😁 anyway apologies for off topic now back to Apple watch
