That's peculiar.....I wonder why everything else was released but it was left out?
I almost updated to the latest beta last night (got to the “preparing”) stage, before I realized that it’s NOT the RC. Crazy that the timing is not synced to iOS as usual.

probably some cautious thinking on their behalf after earlier beta(3) bricked a few ..once bitten twice shy !

On beta 5 and I lost 22% sleep tracking on my S10 last night. Right after 11.0.1 was released, I was only losing like 5-7%, not sure what’s changed. Repaired and all. Live activities turned off yesterday made no difference.

Perfectly fine, on the latest version.

I'm not on any beta, phone or watch.
👌🏻 I will need to uninstall and reinstall the app again then.
This was on an S10. My Ultra 2 is still running 11.0.1
Alrighty then the Apple Watch Ultra 2 is on a public shipping version of watchOS. Did you elect not to install the developer beta on the Apple Watch Ultra due to decreased battery life?

watchOS 11.1 developer beta 3 had been skipped due to bricking Apple Watches, which put a strain on Apple stores and Genius Bar as these issues caused the Watch to boot loop or respring. So 11.1 still has things to iron out btw.

Both - didn't matter whether I picked public or developer.

In the end I took a chance and it updated fine to 11.1 RC (even though it said 11.0.1 on screen before updating)
👌🏻 then did you pick the public or developer beta option in software update?

is there any option to turn off conversation awareness from airpods pro 2 while playing music from apple watch ? and enable conversation awareness only when using from iphone?

APP settings on the watch follow the settings on the phone. If you kill it from your phone it should not be on on the watch. If it is you have a glitch. Remove the APP’s and repair. Also make sure you have mirror phone setting checked off in the watch settings app.
i want seperate options...while i am on gym i want the conversation awareness, while i am running i dont want it.

Then you gotta flip the switches on the phone before your gym workout or your run to achieve what you want.

I also agree all app notifs should be mirrored to your iPhone, especially settings.

Has anyone noticed if the RC is better on battery? I totally missed the fact it was released yesterday and am downloading it now

I’m losing 20% battery sleep tracking on my S10 whereas it was about 10% before, not sure what changed. Just did a repairing yesterday too, same results.

That is the way to do it, it is required to install beta software OTA to an Apple Watch. You are in the right direction!

On RC? My AW has the update but battery life has been stabilized. No sudden drops during sleep tracking. or workout, same thing as you.

As per my post - https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/watchos-11-beta-thread.2428813/post-33505361 - I was already on the previous watchOS 11.1 beta - but the watchOS 11.1 GM was showing as 11.0.1 for whatever reason.

Based on Reddit, I'm not the only one that was seeing the GM as '11.0.1'.

Weird because I’m on 11.1 beta and for me it’s now 11.0.1
Same is happening here. I’m afraid to update now as I don’t want to brick my device.

If someone wants to take the leap and let us know if it actually installs 11.1, let us know.

It was happening on 11.0.1 so I caved and installed 11.1 RC and it’s the same. Just woke up after about 6.5 hours of sleep tracking and it dropped 19%. What are you seeing with sleep tracking?

Wow  does not show it correctly ? Are you checking it on the iPhone app? Because on my Apple Watch ⌚️ and iPhone it displays it correctly.

iPhone is running iOS 18.1 developer beta 4 and Apple Watch is on watchOS 11.1 RC.

typically the battery would drop 10-20% on my Apple Watch Series 6 gold stainless steel during sleep tracking. Beta 5 of 11.1 it lost 30%.

I think I have found possibly some better battery life.
1. I did not turn live activities completely off, but did turn off Auto-Launch Live Activities. I might have a live activity every once in a while, so this isn’t a big deal to me.
2. The thing I think makes the most difference is turning off Widget Suggestions. If you don’t use the widget screen or care for the watch suggesting widgets for you to look at, then this I think is what is consuming battery.
