I can say, I am very impressed with the new AI driven Siri. It actually answers everything (like Alexa) instead of giving you a link to the web. She can also control everything. "Siri, end my workout" is so convenient.
are you getting AI responses on the watch with 11.2?

It stayed at 100% for the first year, and has now dropped 14% over the past year. It has been on 91% probably for the past 2 months.
Seeing others on Reddit noticing their battery health changed drastically after installing the 11.2 beta as well, even brand new watches. Must be a bug.

I was watching a video on the latest Apple Watch beta update. This guy started off apologizing saying that the video was going to be very boring, for there hasn't been a change in the watch for the longest time, and I believe him.

?!?! My Apple Watch Series 6 never had battery health drop capacity after an update, so I am positive it is a bug. The battery health remains utmost at 100% on my end.

There haven't been many noticeable changes since the 11.1 GMs. The only changes that I have noticed are that the battery life, performance, and speed have been subpar. The only major addition since then has been sleep apnea on the S9 and later models.

No, that is going to be a while for that functionality to be implemented. Speaking purely from the watch itself processing AI independently. Watches would need a much more powerful chip which would also result in much more battery drain.

Cloud AI processing would be a much better solution.

I would love to see new watch faces. The third party ones don't have the functionality to execute certain operations on the watch. They look nice, but are limited.

Same here, my AW1 was still @100% but it is now showing 95%. I hope it doesn't stay this way on the next beta.
Are you referring to the first-generation Apple Watch Ultra? Please clarify the model of your Apple Watch; the Series 1 AW is no longer supported since watchOS 6. I also noticed battery life on watchOS 11.2 beta has been a mystery for me as well; I had a long day today and it dropped to 40% instead of the 50-60% I usually end up with.

Sorry for the typo. I’m referring to the AWU1 instead i actually didn’t notice this until it was mentioned and when I checked was surprised to see the health go down to 95% from 100%.

My Ultra 2 (2023) was at 100% health and is now showing 92% after watchOS 11.2 beta installation.
No way this bug in 11.2 beta, is also causing battery issues with my Apple Watch Series 6. My battery health capacity remained at 100% Health but I felt it did not last throughout the day as it should be. I had a long day yesterday and it ended at 40% instead of 55-65% by the evening, had to charge my Watch again before I went to workout before dinner 🍽️

Y’all I got affected by this battery health bug in watchOS 11.2 developer beta as well. This marks 2-3 days since I installed it and now my Apple Watch Series 6 inaccurately shows that my battery health dropped to 96%. It was 100% the day before and all the 3-4 months since I had it, bought it new. Let’s send in feedback to  through the feedback app on our iPhones, y’all. This is the culprit behind this battery draining issue and it confuses us especially if we recently bought new Apple Watch ⌚️.

Battery is still strong after I only recharged it once so far. incoming-251906AF-78C8-4149-92D5-1A75FBEB5878.pngincoming-1B5D945A-11F8-4297-AFEC-AA23E184B67E.png

No idea how battery health is determined.

But could it be that watchOS 11.1 (and before) calculated a bit too optimistic and 11.2 a bit too pessimistic and the „truth“ (whatever that is) is in the middle?

Was wondering how good battery health of my AWU2 (release day) still is. 98% though absolutely no discipline with charging from me.

I don't know if it's related to this beta but I also observed that battery health decreasing on my Series 6.
However, it's a good argument for my wife let me switch to Series 10. 🤣

My feedback report is saying more than 10 similar reports so Apple will definitely be aware now at least.
I knew this has to be HUGE, y’all. Mines doesn’t show as more than ten people reported it but I hope Apple listens to our feedback about it. I heard it can also impact decisions on battery replacement for many of us.

So your charging habits didn’t matter how the battery health decreased? I only charge my Apple Watch when I go 🚿 and if it drops to 45% or less.

Did you see the battery health drop a few percentage points when you updated to 11.2? I had my gold stainless steel Apple Watch Series 6 for roughly 4 months and I had it new, it dropped down from 100% to 96% capacity after this recent update.

You can check out early Black Friday deals for Apple Watch and carriers should have it as well.

As I said, battery health was 100% until a few weeks ago and I was wondering if my (bad) charging habits did not matter at all as my bad charging habits do have an impact on my other devices, e.g. my iPhone 13 Pro and my previous Apple Watch 7 which had a lot faster battery health decline. Not sure though how much that was but definitely within 10% or so over the first year.

I am a runner and do always charge to 100% when I am taking a shower after running. No 80% limit or slow charging or anything else to be nicer to the battery.

AWU2 was at 98% Battery health before the 11.2 beta it's now showing 88%. Cannot be showing correctly for it to show a 10% decrease in less than a week?
