Y’all have a regular series Apple Watch or an Apple Watch Ultra to try reproducing this bug? If so, install the beta version on it and check if it has the bug.
I’ve now checked two other non-Hermès models (an Ultra and a Series 9) running watchOS 11.3.1 release version and both don’t have the issue. I’ve asked in the Hermès Owners thread to see if someone in there can try it and report back, to get an idea of whether it’s just a coincidence or if there is indeed a pattern!

Okay, I noticed your post in the Hermes Apple Watch megathread. I hope a few more people like you will comment on it because this is a very unusual bug. I appreciate you testing it on your other Apple Watches that aren’t Hermes. By the way, when do you wear your non-Hermes Apple Watches?

Hopefully there'll be a few people over there willing to try it! It only takes a second to do.

I personally only use one watch, because when I upgrade I give my existing watch to my father, so he has my previous Series 8 and Series 7. So for this test I checked my husband's watch (Series 9) and when I was chatting with a friend this afternoon - who is also quite an Apple Watch fan - I saw their Ultra and asked them to try it. Another friend has an Ultra 2, so the next time I see them I might test it out as well... for science! 😄

Haha, same here! I have an Apple fan friend I’ve known since high school. We used to have Friday physics class together in college last semester. We always chat about Apple in class, every keynote and iPhone release date and our Apple Watches. He’s been rocking a Series 6 Nike 44mm space gray since launch day. But he does not beta test watchOS due to the fact that y’all can’t downgrade it, so he only beta tests iOS 18.3.1 and iPadOS on his iPhone 13 Pro Max green and SG iPad Pro M4 13” regular glass. The other one, who’s my mentor, doesn’t wear his ultra as much but does beta test it. So, right now, I can’t ask any other Apple Watch wearers in my circle besides the folks here at MR.

Any significant changes on last beta 11.4 beta 1?
My workout and mindfulness focus doesn’t automatically turn on when I start a workout or meditation. It’s frustrating when watchOS doesn’t work the way it should.

Also y’all I still noticed my battery health hasn’t been fixed back to 100% ⚔️ on watchOS 11.4 beta.

Hey everyone, I have some news from a few Apple Watch users in this forum, though I won’t name them. Apparently, the watchOS 11.4 developer beta was pulled again just two days after its release over the weekend. This affected many Apple Watches, especially the Apple Watch Series 6 models. I was unaware of this issue, which could explain why some of you were unable to update or install the 11.4 watchOS beta. I had been swamped with commitments today and completely missed this news. Fortunately, my watch is still functioning properly and no boot loops whatsoever. The only issue is that the focus modes and complications aren’t working correctly. The battery has been stable, but there’s still a bug in the battery health calculation. Any Apple Watch Series 6 users who were able to update their watches and continue using them? Let me know.

I hope it fixes the complications not updating bug. Both the seconds and date no longer update for me on AOD. Won’t update till the screen is woken up. Makes it pretty useless and or downright a problem.
IK, even my premium complications from Peaks don’t even work properly. I’m going to get it installing later today. Hope no bricking 👊👌🏻

Hey everyone, the new watchOS 11.4 beta 2 is quite good. All the bugs from the previous beta have been fixed, including the focus modes that I had mentioned in my feedback.

However, there’s one downside: the charging speed is a bit slower than usual this time. Battery Health still reads as 97% instead of 100%.

Thanks for carrying my thread. I tend to tap out once the new devices are released running it. You’re a good man.

I’m looking forward and moving on to my watch OS 12 thread. Stay tuned. At this point betas for 11 are bugs and tweaks evidenced by the low volume in this thread. Myself included, hitting update at this point is trivial.

On to 12 for me, right around the corner!

That’s why I continue to keep this thread alive weekly to biweekly whenever a beta update is released. The mystery surrounding battery health persists; it still displays a lower reading. This time, it’s even more concerning. A few betas ago, the battery health ranged from 100% which is supposed to be normal for my Apple Watch to 97%. However, the recent update indicates a percentage of only 92%. Apple Watch wearers, please speak up and demand that the beta team fix this bug again. My Apple Watch Series 6 is only 9 months old, not even a year old!

Also, by the way, @LarryJoe33, the major change within these years round (not the initial betas we know of during the summer preceding the final release of incoming watchOS versions) is the release of Unity Watch faces for Black History Month last month and the upcoming Pride Month ones, which the pride 🏳️‍🌈 month one is expected to be released in two months. Last year, it was neon lights for the queer community Pride 🏳️‍🌈 faces. The last two years’ faces seem like more universal as it did not obviously showcase the flag just the colourful nature of it. I wonder what the next one will be. Perhaps another sport band like the sprinkles one?

The recurring battery health misinformation bug is why I am not updating to any more watchOS betas now or in the future. I almost installed this latest beta then I remembered it doesn't really add any functionality and shows false battery health percentage.

Which AW was affected by this bug? Your old Apple Watch Ultra or the series 10?

My Series 10 wasn't affected by the bug somehow, but the Ultra 2 (2023) was. The Ultra 2 went down to around 91% health with the bug and only ever went back to 98% after it was fixed. It never went back up to 100% like it was before I installed that watchOS beta. The Series 10 still shows 100% health and I'm not taking any chances with its battery health being messed up in any way. My Ultra 2 is pretty much exactly one year older than my Series 10.

I’ve definitely added and updated my feedback since I filed one when the bug came back on 11.2 RC. You can use this reference number, FB16092998, when you file your claim on Feedback Assistant on your iPhone 📱.

@Diopter and @MacDevil7334 , follow up! 😊 Do you know if the Smart Stack bug has been fixed in the 11.4 watchOS beta 2? Let me know if you find out especially with your fellow Hermes Apple Watch wearers. Thanks a bunch!

I am running the 11.4b2 on my AWU1 without issues. It seems to be very smooth and quick like the 18.4b2 on my iPad and iPhone. My release day AWU1 battery health is still 90%, which it has been sitting on for a few months now.

I’m not running the beta unfortunately. My feedback report still shows open with no similar reports. That’s not uncommon for Apple’s feedback system though. I really hope this is not a Hermes-only bug because it will never get fixed if it is. Hermes watches represent such a minuscule fraction of all the watches out there that it is basically not worth Apple’s time to fix it.

Dropped out of the beta? Is it because you could not stand it anymore and got 18.3.1 public release?

Was the battery health on your 1st gen Apple Watch Ultra 2 90% before betas too?
