Really? How many people do you think are going to upgrade? What are the big new features this year? No 120hz display killed it. You get non rounded edges this year and a new color, neat.

There are lots of people on iPhone X including me are going to upgrade. I don't really give a rat's ass about 120Hz.

I got the Note Ultra 20 and its awesome. Might not even get an iPhone 12 now. Apple really screwed up. This isn't 2010 any longer where Android is plagued with bugs and the phones are cheap crap. There is plenty of competition and there are great premium phones out there. They will lose iPhone customers over this.
You claim to be happy with the S20 & not getting the new iPhone, but you’re in every thread complaining about the iPhone 12 being delayed.

Who says that? They said a few weeks later so I'm more thinking: do an event on 6 or 13 October (events usually on Tuesday), pre-orders the next friday.

Even if it is as early as the 13th, preorder on the 23rd...youre not seeing one in your hand until Nov. Pro models won't be in your hand until Dec.

Everyone knew that since before the event was even announced. The iPhones are not making an appearance in September this year. This has been expected for several weeks.

No, everyone didnt know that. Most people dont follow along that closely, they just know iPhones come out in Sept. At least they are supposed to

Why does it matter what some other unknown people thought (especially since no one can really known what they thought anyway since they are other unknown people)?

I figured anyone who has an account on MacRumors and cared enough to be anticipating this event wasn't likely to be that out of the loop.

If you didn't know that phones would be delayed, you weren't awake, were you?

I got my new 2020 iPhone SE back in April, was it? I don't have any monthly payments for it, either. I might like to work on an iPad soon, but I'm not sure given that the 8th generation iPad + fancy keyboard, etc. might be more than I want to pay.

If 2020 hasn't been the year of exceptions for you, you weren't awake, were you?

Still rocking my iPhone 7 with 128gb. No letdown here at all. I'm interested in eventually upgrading to a larger screen and 256gb capacity. Hoping an iPhone SE Plus will be that creature.

Meanwhile I hesitated for a bit this past Saturday when trying to decide whether to wait for today's iPad reveal or go ahead and replace my iPad Pro 9.7 from March 2016. I calculated that any spec bump for the base iPad may or may not come with a RAM increase and, most importantly, the base iPad doesn't come in 256gb.

I made the choice to proceed with a 256gb iPad Mini 5th gen and absolutely love it! What a little rocket!

Well------- there have been many times, in tech industry, where the "leaks" were there, and then they were wrong. Apple has surprised us before. I knew the "info".....but was hoping.

I don't need a new iPhone just exactly the same as MOST of you. My 2 yr old Xs Max works and looks like new.

I only "WANT" 5g.

I certainly can wait. No problem.

But, I do have to comment: Nothing in that "event" was exciting.

Well, exciting and letdown are different things, that are also fairly subjective.

It's only right that they release an iPhone after all of the iPads announced. Besides the updates to the iPads and watches are great so better chances to enjoy another update in the coming month(s)

People tend to forget that we are still in a PANDEMIC. A new phone release should be the least of your worries. It’ll come when it’s good and ready. Worry about more important things - like your life and your health and safety.

Actually the CDC has downgraded the pandemic to an outbreak. It’s time to stop living a lie and turn off the tv.
