The only thing I’m disappointed with is having to pay extra for a phone. I usually upgrade every year. By them pushing it back I will pay a extra couple of months. Apple wins, I lose.

Drop the iUP program, especially if your carrier offers something similar which most do. I’m dropping mine and going with Verizon’s trade in program, so I’m free to get any new phone I want and dint have to pay past 12 payments on an old phone while Apple botches things, Maybe if a bunch of us drop iUP, Apple will get it.

Which carrier lets you stop payments at 12 months and wait for the new iphone? I thought it works the same way as iUp just with your carrier instead of Apple?

Not what I said. I said that you can get any new phone you want. Much more variety. So if Apple were months late with the iPhone like they are this year, you could get the S20 or Note 20 that came out on time this year, or anything you want. No waiting on Apple.

Oh ok...I get what you're saying. I thought you meant just the iphone.

Really? How many people do you think are going to upgrade? What are the big new features this year? No 120hz display killed it. You get non rounded edges this year and a new color, neat.

My own frustrated observations from prior years is that people care most that it looks different. If it can be easily differentiated as new at a glance the masses want it.

That will be kind of hard when I already have an Apple Watch, IPad, Apple TV, and MacBook.

I got the Note Ultra 20 and its awesome. Might not even get an iPhone 12 now. Apple really screwed up. This isn't 2010 any longer where Android is plagued with bugs and the phones are cheap crap. There is plenty of competition and there are great premium phones out there. They will lose iPhone customers over this.
Exactly. At least announce a date or something so we can have something solid to count down to.

Expect it won't be "a few weeks late", that's a lie. Its going to be MONTHS late. They just barely started production a few days ago. Announcement in mid to late Oct means nothing released until Nov, Pro models won't be out until Dec.
Yea a few would be 3 at the most, not 8=12+

A lot of people dont pay attention to that chatter. They just know to expect an iPhone every Sept. So to act like they are crazy for expecting a new iPhone in Sept is silly.
Yes and it's not even the availability that's the main issue. At least give an announcement in Sept. Even if it is a date of when they will have the iPhone keynote.

the new design alone will be worth it to me. If I have to use an iPhone 6 with updated internals for one more year I’m going to lose it.

Apple basically told us in advance this wasn’t a phone event. I wasn’t expecting new phones at all... and yet, even I was kind of let down.

Is Apple only adding two features per year to AppleWatch? That’s really... not enough. And considering their claim that they are trying to reduce unnecessary charger production, can’t they just make it Qi already? Even if I had to give up all existing chargers, it would still be worth it in the long run.

Considering how long we have been waiting for AirTags, and the fact that similar products have been around for years, at this point they would practically have to find your keys and then make you dinner to impress me at this point. I know Apple has never officially announced them, but they have obviously been working on them for quite some time.

Looking back at my calendar from 2019 my 11 Pro Max was delivered a year ago Saturday 9/19/19. Feels more like 3 years with everything going on in 2020.

I wasn’t let down by the Apple event. The products are great but I’m not ready for a iPad upgrade. I had the first Apple Watch but I moved back to a traditional watch.

I had every intention on keeping my XS Max last year but the Midnight Green color was calling me.

I’m certainly not going to run out and get a Android device because Apple is a month or 2 behind. That’s just ridiculous. I’m perfectly satisfied with rocking this 11 Pro Max for another year.
Geez there’s only a week and a half left in September and November will be here before you know it.

I always look forward to the new iPhone even if I don’t get it.

Actually the opposite. The new Air with TouchID sleep/wake button is awesome. Only downer is that it is not available yet. What will be disappointing is if the 12 or 12 Pro doesn’t include both FaceID and TouchID like the iPad Air. In our new mask world, we need multiple quick unlock options.

I knew the iPhones were going to be delayed but I was still hoping for an announcement Tuesday. I'm tired of all rumors about specs and features I just want it finalized so people can stop speculating. I'm ok with waiting until October to buy it just wish they announced it.

Every year same ol' thing.

Then the new iPhone drops and they hit it out of the park. Look at the 11 Pro Max with it's cameras, battery, build quality, materials, etc. Fantastic device.

The same thing will happen with this one guaranteed. Apple's precision is laser focused compared to say, Samsung.

That tells you its nowhere close to ready to being released. They announced the X in Sept when it didn't release until Nov. Im telling you, the 12s are months away from release, not weeks.

I'm just frustrated because this was the year I'm getting back into iOS. I've started working out more (wanted to get the Apple Watch) and even though I know it will only be another month or two.. I'm still frustrated. Either way, I have my health - my family is healthy, kids are happy.. I'm a lucky guy. Hope all of you are doing well!
Don’t feel so entitled. Everyone is frustrated with 2020. You can’t blame Apple when manufacturing plants across the globe stopped entire production lines, assembly lines, shipping. Whole countries shut down their economies due to a global pandemic.
Now when things are starting to pick back up they are not picking up from today’s date. These suppliers have to fulfill their obligations from the point of shut down so all the way back in March. The entire world supply chain is in delay and will take months upon months to catch back up. Even if things appear to hit shelves the supply levels are depleted to the point they can’t sustain demand at the moment.

Limited supply will be released this year. Contractually these supply chains are obligated to deliver. There are easements in place due to the pandemic that will allow them to under deliver without legal penalty of action. Technically they would only have to deliver one unit but there will be more than that. Apple has an event scheduled for Oct. You should see another event announcement early Oct with phones being delivered mid to late Oct.

Even if by some miracle that does happen. Pro models won't be released until Nov, and those are the models everyone wants. Still months away.

If a delay that every single company is suffering from is your limit. Then please just go drop Apple products like a bad habit and good riddance. You won’t be missed. And no not everyone is waiting for the Pro models. Just to set your facts straight here the pro models are the lowest selling model in Apple’s product line. If you follow trends you’ll see higher sells for last years model phones from all manufacturers because their prices drop. That’s when the Pro models sell high when they’re a year+ old.

But every single company isn't suffering from the delay Apple is. Samsung, Huwaei, Oppo and everyone else got their phones out right on time. This is Apple's incompetence and poor management, which couldn't figure out which screens and 5G radios they wanted to use, that has caused the delay. Huge delays and still no 120hz screens, pathetic. Look at the polls here, most want the Pro models.
