this?

it's better than i thought it was when i sampled it.

Yes. Superb, sinister and compelling.

An astonishing video, and one full of visual jokes, and sly grace notes (to history, culture, traditions…), with a surface tone of almost twee tranquility - and ingrained habits of deference to outside authority masking a disturbing complicity which disguises a continued loyalty to a really subversive and sinister set of subterranean traditions; - such as, (the gallows entwined with flowers, the red cross painted on houses known to be infected by the plague - painted by the very individual who had been painting post boxes a fetching red, the villager swigging scrumpy, down to his West Country smock, the ducking seat for witches which doubles as a childrens' swing, the sinister maypole dance, complete with antlers and swords, even the brilliant homage to the Wicker Man)…….seriously, there is so much in this video, that it repays further viewings.

And the song is terrific, too.

I wasn't much of a fan of his music, but an interview I heard this morning from NPR's Alt.Latino team I had another listen to the song, and can clearly note the mixes of jazz, rock, blues, and afro-Hispanic rhythms.

And to think that this song is actually made up of 3 different covers, primarily being a Fleetwood Mac song, mixed with "B.B. King Does the Cha-Cha".

Anyway, the interview sounds like what should be on an episode in the VH1's Behind The Music series, and is amazing that 2 of the guys in this band (one of which was brought in later) would go on to form Journey.

Some modern folk (traditional) music from Georgia (that is, Caucasus Georgia, not the state in the US), from the groups Erisioni, and Sukhishvili (both of whom, I am happy to report, I had the privilege of seeing perform live).
