You might dig this dance piece, if you haven't seen it before:

...and this is the backstory:

That was a lovely performance. Thank you for sharing!

Some oldies from my favorite genre and period...

New EweTube release from Vulfpeck; hope they can release this show on Bluray eventually (they're advertising a vinyl pressing to be released, but I notice this show IS available on CD too, may be ordering that).

Music is my favorite form of entertainment, too, but I never have background music. I'm always actively listening to it.

This is a nice performance, I like it!
I guess what I meant by background music is listening to music on speakers instead of my APP 2’s. I am always actively listening when music is playing also but let’s say, when I’m in the kitchen preparing for dinner I am using the stereo in the family room instead of having my APP 2’s in my ears. That way I can socialize with the family and still listen to my music. My go to listening experience is with my APP 2’s or Beats Studio Pros. Sorry for the confusion.😊

And, for icing on the cake....

If you ever get the chance, try to see the full video of their final concert; it is a Doctoral Study in Body English. PF were quite reluctant to join back up with Roger (guess they were offered too many brit pounds), they kept looking at each other, easy to read in their faces "WHY did we do this?!?" Roger was ecstatic, you could see in his face, "OH BOY, I'm in PF again, Golly Gee Whillikers ain't this GREAT?!?" After they quit playing it was even more obvious.
I love Pink Floyd, both pre-Roger and post-Roger, and I also love Roger's solo stuff that I've heard; was great that so many geniuses were in the same band, but I also understand how they needed to part ways.

I'm actually listening to "Could you be Loved" by Bob Marley. First song presented by ... H.M. King Charles III.

Not sure what Mr. Marley himself would have thought. Will listen for a bit see what else His Majesty enjoys.

Listening to The Black Keys again
Love The Black Keys! My favorite band from the 21st century. My son and I are going to see them live here in Raleigh, NC in June.

Here are a couple playlists of them I made if you're interested. First one is everything I could find. Second one is my favorites.

I've never been to a concert in my life so far and they most likely will be the first I see.

I hope you are able to go to a live show soon. No matter the type of music, seeing and hearing in person just about always blows away listening to recorded material.

A few suggestions for maximizing your enjoyment:
  • Bring some sort of hearing protection. Even classical orchestras can reach very high volume levels for those watching near the front of the stage. For most people, foam earplugs are fine. I see a lot of gigs so I have a pair of specialized earplugs that have a more balanced sound than foam: https://www.etymotic.com/product/etyplugs-high-fidelity-earplugs/
  • Concerts without reserved seating (i.e. all tickets are sold as "general admission") and club shows can mean standing on your feet in the middle of a tightly packed, extremely sweaty crowd for hours if you want to be close to the stage. So comfortable shoes, comfortable clothing, and getting hydrated beforehand are important.
  • Be present in the moment! Resist the temptation to record video and take selfies as much as possible. The artists are there to perform for you and will feed off the energy (ideally high) generated by the audience. They want and need your active involvement.
