In a coffee shop.
It has been awhile since I listened to 'Zorba the Greek' music, will have to put it on the playlist. Thanks for the reminder.

Mother loved the music of Zorba the Greek by Mikis Theodorakis from the time she saw the movie - which she loved - an absolute age ago. Indeed, I remember when I was a kid, being driven by my father to a specialist store so that we could buy her the LP album of Zorba the Greek for her birthday - both of us choosing the LP (well, I chose it under his direction).

Later, years and years later, when visiting the Greek islands on several holidays - they loved Crete especially - she also really loved (as did my father) - they developed a taste for the music of Manos Hadjidakis, which they both loved, and I remember them bringing back a tape recording of 'Giaconda's Smile' from Crete, which was played so much it wore out.

It took well over a decade before I was able to replace it for them, - when I bought it in the form of a CD while transiting through Thessaloniki on my way back from an election in the Balkans.

Tonight, James Taylor self titled album on vinyl. Songs like "Something in the Way She Moves", "Fire and Rain", and "Carolina in my Mind". Wonderful way to end the day. I had truly forgotten how good this album really was.

I sooo needed this:

Gojira - Gift of Guilt

Um, what did I just watch!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

You just saw Kawai'i metal at its best.

Kawai'i Metal = Cute Metal (J-pop + Metal).

And when those girls get a Wall of Death and mosh pit together that makes Slayer fans jealous, you know you're onto something.. and keep in mind they started this when the oldest girl was 14 and the two younger ones were 12.

With that, See You in Mosh'sh Pit. :)
