I think people underestimate how close to last year’s graphite model the deep purple is. Tonally is really close but with a hint of purple when the light hits it a certain way.

Space black is probably the phone with the biggest change since it’s notably darker than last year, let alone with the blacked out frame and camera bump.

it reminds me of mini 1 in space grey or whatever they called that one and iPhone 5 slate sorta, and dare I say the sides 7 jet black

While the Black is tempting, I really believe a Jet Black ala iPhone 7 or a finish like the Galaxy S21 Ultra would be much better.

So I'm going with my original plan of Silver.

Getting the silver because it’s basically the white iPhone. And I like the white aesthetic of apple products. Now only if that purple was more grape and vibrant, I woulda jumped all over that.

I'm annoyed by these color options. I don't like any of them. And to add to that, the silicone and leather case options also suck. No white silicone or brown leather case? Seriously?

There is an ”Umbra” for the Pros that is brown…

I had a purple prepped for preorder and reading this put what I couldn’t figure out the words for into perspective. If the deep purple had literally any more purple in it I would be going purple, but as it is it looks barely purple in darker lighting and nearly grey in bright. I cancelled and put in for space black. Best of luck to all.

Seeing that the 14 series silver is more of a pure white has cemented my choice this year.

The two-tone look with the white back and black face, and silver sides, I think evoke classic Apple design and I'm stoked!

I tried cancelling but the store is down. Same thing here. I had the 13 pm silver, I wanted a change. Gold is not for me, and purple looks appealing but it looks more like grayish like you said. I def don't dig that. Well I wonder what happens now since my preorder is for the purple already.

I usually get the new colors and after the announcement it was more of the same. I wanted purple. Last night I decided I wanted to go with black this year. When I preordered I had black selected, but for some reason went back and changed it to silver lol

I missed it. But I’ll survive. Gives me time to play with them in the stores and see the color in person, and then I’ll order..l probably will have to wait til October for delivery but oh well

Lol I did the same thing. I'm coming from Sierra Blue 13Pro and flip flopped between black and silver - just ended up going with purple at the last minute. Not a fan of the glossy black frame on space black and the white looks like every other year's phone with a minor change in hue. Purple will be a pretty safe choice while not sticking to the same black / white colors that are out every year.
