I instantly bought the new The Ascent DLC campaign launched yesterday for my Xbox Series X, the game just looks gooooorgeous on my 55” OLED. Played a bit of it and it’s great. They’ve also added a new mode to restart the game from scratch but with all your weapons and upgrades, however they notch the enemy difficulty up too as a result.

Played The Ascent Cyber Heist DLC, love this game. Going round getting all the collectibles now. Then may start the whole game again with my weapons and power ups in place, although the enemies are tougher then too, this game is one of the reasons I got a Series X and Game Pass, but I bought the game and DLC because I like it so much.

Finished Ratchet & Clank, and had a lot of fun with it. Started with Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, the PS5-game, and wow, it's impressive how good it looks, fluid it plays and fun it is. When I've finished it, I'm going to replay GoW to get ready for GoW:Ragnarok. Really looking forward to that one...

I've been playing Infernax (it's on GamePass) in-between my 4th playthrough of Elden Ring. For those that are into the old school Metroidvania-type of games, you'll love it. Has an interesting morality system that can change the ending from what I understand -- I'm just now about to face the final boss and have made some bad decisions :( Music is also great.

Got my new phone set up: Pixel 6, replacing my Google Pixel 4A. The P4A screen was too narrow (2.7", which is akin to the iPhone SE). It was otherwise a very good phone, and one I could've used for another year (or 2), although after using it for 2 years, the battery has taken a noticeable hit.

I have a larger screen for phone gaming, so I got Bloons TD 6 at discount. Probably would be better to play the version of Bloons TD for Apple Arcade, but I'm not ready to renew yet.

Tiny Bubbles is a puzzle game that I already had for PC/Steam, but I don't think I'll be able to transfer my save file over, so may as well just start fresh here. Plus, it's nice for me to get away from keyboard and mouse more.

8-Minute Empire is a digital board game that works better on a phone with a larger screen.

Currently I play

Console: Assassin's Creed IV - Black Flag (Wii U)
PC: Mass Effect Andromeda
iPad: Seven Knights II

That’s been my favorite AC over the last few years. Ya can’t beat being a buccaneer sailing around the Caribbean, arrrrgggh! It’s a pirate’s life for me!!!

First AC title I really enjoy, especially the sailing portions.
And the soundtrack is great.

what year is this?

There's a thing called "calendar" where you can look it up.

In General, I rarely play new games. The performance and bugs are abysmal and they are often overprized - especially on the Switch.

I mean there's "new games" and there's 9 year old games on a very dead system ;)

Wii U is one of the best consoles and still current as other consoles can't fulfill some of the use cases, especially when it comes to party games. No need for upgrade - Switch for me is mobile and hotel TV gaming :).

I'm still buying stuff for it. Just recently acquired original GameCube Controllers and Kongas for the GC games library.

glad you're enjoying it. I bought one awhile ago and could never be arsed to use it really. I hacked it to play GC games but the best GC games all game to Switch with HD remasters. I own all other systems (PS5, Xbox SX/S, Switch, 3DS, Vita, PC, NES/SNES/PS1 classics, etc) but the Wii U just never did it for me. It's been out of production awhile and now the eShop is gone sadly. I sold mine last month.

Horizon Zero Dawn, finally. I had stopped for a long time because of motion sickness with most games on my PS4, but solved that recently by using Remote Play to my MBA. What a relief. I could swear last time I tried Remote Play years ago, it didn't work very well on a Mac, so kind of forgot about that as an option.

I've been sitting on Assassin's Creed Syndicate PS4 for a long time...so long, in fact, that I forgot about it. This thread made me finally check it out on my PS5. I've been through the prologue/training missions and while I'm having fun, there's a weird graphics problem with the lighting. The PS5 has trouble with the sunlight effects so it seems like there's a lightning storm going on a lot of the time. Ugh.

I doubt Ubisoft is going to patch an ancient game for PS5 compatibility...so the lesson here is play stuff you buy before too much time passes!
