I was killed by Frenzy. Any tips for this area and how far have I got to go yet in the game ? (Excluding old hunters)

I hated this area at first but then I grew to love it and after I figured out it's secret. You have to hide behind the rocks when the castle windows lights up(I have to check this as I haven't played in a while) but there's a way, a monster thing you must reach to stop the frenzy....really easy guy. You are close to your goal.

Had to double check as that didn't sound right.

I am at start of The Nightmare of Mensis.

I was killed by Frenzy. Any tips for this area and how far have I got to go yet in the game ? (Excluding old hunters)

Kill the first type of enemies (right by the lamp) with fire weapons, so they don't spawn snakes when they die.

Avoid line of sight to the center of the castle to avoid frenzy. Hug the walls, stay behind obstacles. When the castle lights up, "it" can see you, causing frenzy. Don't let enemies draw you out, have them come to you.

Outside, keep left to the castle entrance. There's a path to the right that leads to another lamp, but it's useless for now. You'll get there later via a shortcut.

Giant spiders can't fit through small doors. Small ones can, but not all at once.

I think bolt damage was pretty effective against the rock throwing giants.

Later on, when you are riding elevators along an outside castle wall (there are two, I think), look for a secret window to roll into.

Have fun, keep at it, you're pretty far along! :)

Oh my word... I am currently playing Gears Of War 4 on my new Xbox One S... and I have brought a ton of games in the various sales! So not sure which one to play next?
Hmm maybe Doom or Quantum Break? I'm loving the backwards compatibility and I picked up last gens Deus Ex for peanuts and the Bioshock Collection cheap too. I got Dead Rising 4 half price yesterday and Elite Dangerous half price digital today. And I got Gas Guzlers Extreme with a fiver off...

The last four weeks has just been one constant sale on games!

Next on my list is Forza Horizon 3 and Halo Wars 2. Then that's probably going to be it for a long while.

I don't think I've ever been this frustrated with a game controls but The Last Guardian took that prize. I think I've spent an hour and a half trying to get Trico to dive under water to reach an area just to pull a switch and then again trying to take me back(really annoying when I would get him to dive and he would but leave me behind in the process) I was really enjoying the game despite the horrible controls but that one section just sucked all the fun I was having with the game...Think I'll give this game a rest for a while and hit up Watch Dogs 2 and Let It Die.

I was playing Titan Fall 2, on my Xbox One. But, to me, it's only fun when I'm playing as the pilot. During that time I feel like I'm achieving something. Not so much in the Titan.

I've since paused playing it and went back to The Division; just downloaded The Terminal DLC.

I finished the Battlefield 4 campaign the other day. It was just okay. My God, the idiotic, worthless AI teammates though.. There was at least one time I caught them shooting at an enemy not 10 feet from them (not even behind cover!) and they couldn't drop him. Ridiculous. Come to think of it the enemy AI wasn't much better...
I think BF3 had the better campaign.

I've been trying to get into Just Cause 3 but I'm going to have to quit it. The frame rate drops are just too annoying. Makes for a horrible experience. It's too bad because the times it does manage to run okay it can be quite enjoyable.

Until Dawn

HUGE fan of the horror genre and this game is a masterpiece. I can already see another playthrough coming once I finish.

I really enjoyed it, but once finished had no no desire to replay it.

Saving the couple of characters that died wasn't motive enough as quite frankly they were one dimensional stereotypes who were just fodder ... And once known who the killer is the climax is fundamentally much the same no matter how you play through.

Like I say i did really enjoyed my initial play through though ...

I was just reading through and heard you can save everyone or make everyone die so I thought it might have a little replay value.

Thanks for the feedback though

I cannot stop playing Rollercoaster Tycoon on my iPad. Since 2ng gen iPod Touch I've been looking for a phone game to hook me as much as my Nintendo and Sony handhelds do, and its an amazing port of a PC classic.

Oh gosh I finished The Last Guardian and it was just simply great. I got really frustrated with the controls and the camera but it definitely didn't stand in the way of the story and interactions with the boy and Trico. I must admit this game had me a little emotional.

I'm a couple levels into Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions. I've been wanting to play this game for some time but felt the price was a little too high. Finally I snagged it during a digital sale a few weeks back. I'm having a blast with it so far. The controls, wall crawling especially, can be a little wonky at times and the camera can occasionally be a pain but overall not too bad. I was pleasantly surprised NPH and Stan Lee did voice work for the game!

are you serious? Deus Ex is a excellent game, is it due to the hacking parts?

I agree. Its one of the few FPS (at least thats similar to COD in essence) that I've been very impressed with. I could see the hacking being annoying but unlike Fallout 4 (which I do like the hack mechanic) they've done a great job making it exciting and "intense". Deus Ex is a game I would recommend to any type of gamer and I have very few criticisms for. And on a PS4 Pro is a beautiful game.

The whole thing, maybe I need to give it more time but it seems a bit all over the place? I haven't enjoyed it as much as the last one.

It took me about 3-4 hours to get into. I actually hated it at first, I felt it was too hard and just blah. Once I got into the open world parts is when I really started enjoying it.....a lot. However if you are much further then that I would give it up because it doesn't get much better.

Different strokes I guess...

I'm probably one of the few but I got tired of Doom about 1/3 of the way in. Run into a obvious room that would lock down until you killed all the demons...blah. I bought it at full retail and I have no interest in returning to complete it.

Doom actually challenged me to the point where I wanted to finish the game. It definitely got difficult and frustrating at times, but I actually really got to the point were I was becoming more experienced the more I played it. Even though it's more arena game without an in-depth storyline. It ran so smooth at 60 frames per second at 1080 P. One of the most seamless games I played thus far on the PS4.

the only annoying part of Deus Ex is the hacking part at first but when you do your first 3 hacks, you get used to it and then it gets easy. Its good when a game challenges you, for example, rite now im playing DarkSiders 2 and its quite hard but i like that.

I concur. I'm playing through mankind divided now trying to clear some of the glut of great games that came out Q4, and although first mission was a slow burn, I replayed it a couple of times to get used to controls again and get into the non lethal stealth mode,by the time I hit Prague I was hooked.

The hacking is infuriating especially as I forgot when I first received my praxis points to allocate ANY to the old tool set of moves auto-assuming after the first mission I still had them ...

This meant no gas protection, no hacking perk, no wall breaking .....

I had invested in new tools which to be frank didn't need investing in at the start and so negotiating my way around Prague has been very challenging. Lots of saves and reloads.

Yet because I love the feel of the world and the it's realisation of same, it makes playing and re-attempts at my stealth non lethal strategy more worthwhile.

Doom, I got truly sick of it brainless same old same old a few hours in when the realisation that it was never going to get better or more varied ... It was going to be the same thing ad nauseum. I just got no fun at all from it.

The other FPS I'm really enjoying at the moment is dishonoured 2 which again is much akin to Deus Ex, and I attempt to play through in a guarded approach.

Great game. Lots of replayability if you want different outcomes.

Played about 2 or 3 hours last night, with headphones, alone, in the dark.

Yea, bad idea.

This game honestly times its jump scares perfectly and the decision making is driving me insane when I end up killing someone I get so mad lol

Great game!!!!

Anyone know if we can expand PS4 Pro beyond 2tb ?

I am having to delete games in order to be able to install new ones on my current 2tb ...

Doom for example takes up 76gb, Batman Arkham Knight is similar ....

Wanted to install XCom 2 but had to uninstall games in order to make space.

I really hope Sony copy Microsoft and allow the install of games to an external HDD someday ...

I've wondered this myself a while back and ran into people doing this.
