Sniper Elite 3 is 6.99 € on PS4.

Should I add this to my growing list of purchased and unplayed games?
I played it and it has almost no story. Just a bunch of random missions... go here.... kill these guys... repeat. The graphics are pretty good and the maps are much larger than the previous versions if you played those. The entire campaign is pretty short though. Definitely not an A list full price game, but for the sale price you got there, it would be a few days of mindless fun.

Do u guys enjoying playing multiple game campaigns at once or does it muddy things ?

I try to, and it's probably the biggest cause of why I rarely ever finish a game or get more than 1/4 of the way through, especially big games.

For me gaming really depends on my mood and whilst there are times when I feel like a challenge, there are others when I just want a story and then there are those where I just want fun and mindlessness. So it's not very often a game can quell all those moods and so I chop and change, then get utterly distracted and the game gets sidelined.

I usually play two games at a time so I don't get bored with it. I've never finish a game in one sitting, I always put in an hour or two at a time then jump to another game...it gives me a break from the game.

It all depends on how I feel really, I haven't finished BoTW, Mass Effect or Horizon as yet and honestly I haven't played anything in a month. When I do have some free time I'll just dabble in all of them until I'm done with it. I loose interest quick so I'm trying my best to stay away from open world games with a zillion things to do because I'll never finish the main story.

Bless

I just downloaded Tom Clancy's The Division. First 6 hours are free and then I can decide if it's worth it. Was considering Ghost Recon Wildlands if anyone has some input as to which game they enjoyed more.

I have so many games going on rightnnow

Horizon kingdom hearts haven't installed bioshock collection yet but have it, and resident evil 4 remastered from a while back, and ratchet and clank from even further back but haven't touched last 2 and will wait before diving into the others.

On switch botw and shovel knight I've gotten stuck on shovel knight and tabled it but great game

Has been heroes and Isaac on switch I consider beat or never to beat, since they're rogue games. Great intermissions

i should probably not buy anymore games but so glad I finally beat rise of the tomb raider. Tabled it on xb1 after a few hours got side tracked when it came out in 2015 and played the 4K PS4 copy in between uncharted1-4 and last of us (beat all those) and tabled it and finally beat two thirds of the game in like 2-3 settings as of a few days ago. Lol.

Also beautiful game but the first tomb raider reboot was more epic for its time. And uncharted takes the cake

Awesome let me know how persona 5 is I hear excellent things
I'm going to have to get back to you about that; we've just had the biggest power outage I've seen in my life (knocked out almost the entire district for 16 hours, and apparently I'm one of the lucky few to have it back)!

One game I really enjoyed that I picked up recently was Tom Clancys Ghost Recon Wildlands. It has a huge map, with expansive gameplay and I've been looking for a decent shooter for a while, and I feel this is what I've been looking for. Basically, it's similar to Far Cry 4, where you go from outpost to outpost and you have various missions of how you can approach to infiltrate the enemy that will ultimately lead you to the main Boss in the game.

Graphically, it's very good. Gameplay is smooth and I have not experienced any issues with it. The guns Have a huge plethora to choose from and can be completely customized from every part you can think of. Leveling up is is well done. When you're shooting, you can switch to first person and then it will revert back to third person when you're moving about.

I would say the main campaign has at least 40-50hours from what I can see so far.

The only thing I don't like, is navigating through some of the menus to route your AI squad members that will assist you on your missions. Otherwise, it feels authentic to me in the environments and I have been pleasantly surprised thus far. I Don't know if this would be for you, but at least check out the reviews and see what you think.

Edit: I just observed that you had play this game previously before I posted this. Sounds like we agree on a lot of the gameplay elements though.

How does the "routing your AI squad members" work? In the old Rainbow Six games (Rogue Spear, ...), you would have a blueprint of the map and actually draw routes they should take on that map, define where they should wait for commands, breach doors, etc. I really loved that tactical element of actually planning a mission before playing it. Is it anything like that in Wildlands?

What I meant by routing your squad members was indicating where you want them to go to either attack or hold their position. That could've been a little bit more well thought out, as navigating that portion of the menu to do seemed cumbersome to me.

And in Wildlands, you have the option of approaching an outpost or enemy camp with stealth or full on attack. You can snipe enemies from a long range distance, moving through various locations at the enemy camp and slowly take out targets one by one or an all out Gun battle. The Most satisfying part about this game is how authentic the guns actually perform and taking on an enemy is addicting when you're doing it correctly.

What I like about the game also, is the enemy AI is fairly smart and they will figure out your position based on how you attack. So if you're smart and you make good tactical decisions, taking out a certain camp will come with more ease versus having difficulty with poor positioning and vigorous attack methods.

OK. It starts pretty "slowly"; it's extremely story-heavy at the start. I'm about 2.5 hours in, and I think I've been in 3 battles.

With that said, it's interesting and I look forward to playing some more of it tomorrow :)

PS. I've never played any of the other Persona games. I have, however, played/enjoyed Catherine, which I believe is from the same developer.

Edit: A couple of annoyances: Loading up the game is frustrating as it makes you sit through a whopping 40 seconds of unskippable logos. It also asks whether to use online features, then tells you that you can change your mind through the options menu. If there's an option for it then why must it ask me every time?

Frustratingly it also doesn't allow you to take screenshots. In my opinion developers shouldn't have that choice as it inevitably leads to this sort of abuse...

I use the drone a lot for this. I fly the drone over and mark targets for my support team, then order them to shoot those targets. Rinse... repeat... sometimes using only the drone to take out a whole camp. I like flying the drone down into the middle of a group of three or four enemies standing around and detonating the drone. Lot's of ways to handle these camp attacks and that makes it fun. You can even take out enemy helicopters with the drone detonation.

Guys.. confused on the next purchase. Was between Wildlands or Battlefield 1 but now Persona 5 seems to have the highest reviews of all time just not sure if I would enjoy that game.

I only know a little about Persona 5 from the reviews, and the style does not look like something I would be very interested in, but maybe that's just me. But I do own the other two and they really could not be more different.

Wildlands focus is on the campaign and it is a huge open world Far Cry type game. BF1 has very little campaign and the focus is heavy on the online aspect, which is a lot of fun.

So the question I think is do you want to play a open world Far Cry type campaign or a online multiplayer WWI battle.

For me Wildlands is something I will sell once I complete the campaign, and BF1 is something I will keep a long time and keep coming back to to play online MP.

Really clears it up, thanks! That's what I was thinking, I would not enjoy that type of game, it just had me considering Persona 5 because of the high praise. I usually like playing the campaign and then joining multiplayer but I find I'm not that good in console multiplayer so maybe I'll enjoy the Wildlands campaign a bit more.

I finally finished rise of the tomb raider. Traded it and 10 out of pocket for bioshock collections
Right now I'm playing like 8/10 games simultaneously, which are the ones digitally downloaded on my PS4 hard drive.

Sometimes I'm in the mood for Until Dawn, then next a little bit of Uncharted 4. Next day I want something open world and keep playing Infamous Second Son, then a little bit of Bioshock collecting (still on 1).

Another day I want something quick and light and I play Rayman Legends or Metal Slug Anthology.

Then next day I play again Wolfenstein and Alien Isolation.

This way I don't get bored playing the same game for days. The hard part is starting all over with controls.

I haven't finished a single game yet, but I'm close to on Uncharted 4 and Until Dawn.

Next time I'll only play like 5 games simultaneously so I can focus more on them and finish them faster.

But man, I'd like to buy the Switch now and start playing Zelda, or buy the Xbox One S to play Gears of War 4 and Alan Wake (always had the itch to play this one).

Uncharted 4 is quite epic

Especially if you were like me
And played 1-3 right before it for the first time

One of the best gaming experiences

Especially uncharted2. They're all excellent but the hype is real. The way it starts off you're immediately immersed

The 4 intro is pure homage to 1 intro

gonna start a new job on monday (medical field job) :) hopefully i can buy a PS4 now. thinking about which game i will play next? cuz im about to finish Darksiders 2 soon, already did all the side quests at this point and im about half way thru the main mission

@Weaselboy. In Wildlands, is there anyway to switch weapons when playing in game without going to the pause menu and then accessing the Load-out screen tab? I want to make sure I'm not missing something. I kind of find it annoying when you're in the middle of a gun fight and you need to change your firearm by pausing the game, then Accessing the Load-out tab and then return playing back to the game. Thank you.

From that load out screen you can equip two weapons plus a handgun, then while in game hit Y (XBox One) to switch between the two equipped weapons and YY to switch to the handgun. But other than that, no, I have not found any other way to switch. Is that what you meant?

Thanks for the input and You're correct, you you can use up to three firearms when in game. I was just wondering if there's a way to cycle through the weapons (Being there is so many of them) without having to pause the game. I wish the developers would have come up with a way to cycle through the firearms without having to pause/access the load tab every time you want to switch a firearm. It's not horribly inconvenient, it's just interrupts the gameplay process when in the middle of a heavy gun fight. Overall, it's a great game.

Played some Far Cry 4 last night after not touching it for a year. Somehow, it doesn't speak to me like the two previous installments did. Too many hostile animals, it gets annoying.

Switched to Steep instead. Exploring beautiful mountains wthout angry critters mauling you every five minutes! :D
