Jet Black 7 Plus, the last reasonably priced flagship iPhone.

I’m in the same boat: matte black iPhone 7 Plus, 128 GB, bought at release in 2016 for €1019.

It really was the last flagship iPhone that was somewhat affordable, or at least offered a reasonable value for money proposition.

My 7 is getting somewhat long in the tooth almost 4 years on, but I don’t see a viable upgrade path at this time:
- an SE 2 has a smaller display, single lens camera, and doesn’t really feel like an upgrade to me
- an 11 Pro Max (or soon: 12 Pro Ultra Top Rocket, whatever they’re going to call it) is way, way, way too expensive, as in it’s priced at €1459 over here in Europe (for my US friends: that’s $1630)

So I’ll just keep using my 7 Plus for now, until it breaks or until Apple stops supporting it, whichever comes first.

6+ 128 GB. It's my second iPhone. I had a 4 and loved it but when the 5.5"-ish Androids became common I got one of those, I really wanted one of those big displays. Too bad the whole experience sucked! When Apple finally made a large iPhone it was the perfect match, I wanted it so badly I paid that absurd money for a phone. After nearly six years only the mute switch has broken, otherwise it's still perfect, and it's on the second battery.
Now Apple screwed everything again with that notch, which I totally despise. I don't know what to buy next.

Apparently next year early there will be an SE+ that’s like the 8+ with no notch.

Recently left the big phones behind when I sold my 11 and got an SE 2. Right now I have an iPhone 11 Pro boxed up to return. I ordered it to try the size and the OLED. I was (and still am a little) very tempted to keep it, but the SE 2 is really a great little phone - super easy to use one-handed which is what I’ve been missing.

I’ll see where I land after the fall releases.

XR. Great phone for the money. But i just impulse bought the S20+ and i'm having a hard time choosing my future ..

7 plus (Jet black 128GB) . . . I have seen no compelling reason to upgrade.

My wife had the 7plus and just received an 8+ and just for the convenience of wireless charging alone she said it’s worth it. She said the battery life has been better too. She loved her 7+

I carry two iPhones--an 8+ and the SE 2020. I don't like having to schlep around two phones, but I've got various medical conditions that can act up suddenly, so I worry that one phone might get lost, broken or run out of power. I just got the SE 2020 in an attempt to reduce weight and bulk, and I'm pretty happy with it, it's one of my favorite iPhones by far. The battery isn't that great, however, and I do find myself having to plug it in a couple times throughout a given day.

If I want to travel with just one phone, I usually strap on my Apple Watch 4. I believe the watch is Apple's most elegant and useful product, and it's probably the most important Apple device I have. The ECK feature has alerted me to episodes of atrial fibrillation several times and I've learned that doctors have a lot of respect for the Watch's capability there.

iPhone 8 for almost 3 yrs now. Waiting to see what the 5.4 is all about.
