I am done buying phones for a while. Bought the Xs and it works fine. I will not buy another phone until Apple comes out with something new and innovative. I am board with the current design and incremental upgrades don't count anymore for me.

Buying every year for minimal upgrades is a waste of time and money. Now that the phones are over a grand, I am going to be more picky. Just because Apple comes out with a new model does not mean I have to buy it.

Besides I am going to have to save my money for when my keyboard or battery craps out on my new MBP.

I have a XS under a free promo so I will moving the phone to my sons line who currently has a X. The X will be handed down to my youngest son who current has a 6s.

I will be using my youngest sons upgrade and getting the max pro model 256gb in space grey

6 and will upgrade this year but either to a used Xs max or the new one. At this stage based on the information we have about the new one I’m more like to go for the Xs max. This will be a small step before going to the new 2020 phone. The 6 is starting to really show its age and is getting slow these days. Also without new iOS updates I’m concerned about compatibility of apps.

I have the Xs and plan to get the new 2019 model as long as Apple do not raise the price here in the UK. The iPhone isn't worth it's price right now, so I certainly won't be paying more for a phone.

I have a XS Max and for once I’m not upgrading. In fact with how expensive these things have gotten i’m Planning on keeping it for another 3 years! Yes...3.

I have 2 X 6s.
I plan on keeping them for the foreseeable Future!
I only use them as a Mobile device: Talk, Text, Maps, etc.
I have 3 powerful Desktops: 2 PC's / 1 Mac Mini and an XPS laptop.
I don't need a "Super" $1,000.00 Phone!!

Been using an X since May 2018, really happy with it and has been the longest phone I've kept. Hanging out for the rumored smaller 5.4" iPhone if it ever comes. Otherwise will just replace with the current version of it when I notice a drop in performance, or if they bring something new feature wise that draws my attention.

I'll be eager to see the new iPhone. But my Xs Max is so beastly, I simply don't feel a need to upgrade.

Gunning for 2021 @ the earliest.

Coming from a 6s, which larger screen better camera unit can anyone recommend? My eyes aren't great, I dislike getting more 'intimate' with gestures but I realize the button likely will have to go, and am not rich, but shoot a Nikon D810, so images are important to me, and advancements have been incredible since I used to shoot 8x10 sheet film! (Have had 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6). I am excited about upgrading my 6, see people here talking about 2020, but is the 2020 version, or even the 2019, going to be that much better than a cheaper older unit, e.g., an XR or something else? Thx!

I went from my 6S to an XR because of my eyes, with the XR and XS Max you can use ‘zoomed screen mode’ like you can on the 6S, the 5.8” iPhone doesn’t have this feature.
I use zoomed screen mode all the time and find it helps, it’s why even though I’m not sure about its size I’ll keep the XR and see what they do with it next year. But my advise would be get an XR, either the new one or the current one once it’s price drops when the new one is launched, otherwise I’d suggest the Max.

Oh as for the XR camera? IMO it’s amazing! It’s the only iPhone camera I’ve had in 6 different iPhone models that can take photos of my Spaniel dog and not smudge his fur! It’s also very fast, lot light could be better though but that’s about it. The new XR is heavily rumoured to be getting a dual lends camera setup so you can zoom 2X optically.

I won't zoom in spite of my eyes, but the larger screen is helpful for composing and seeing in general, but thanks for the suggestion :)

I'll have to Google the focal length on that optical zoom as it makes a big difference when you can punch in. I'm giving up ergonomics to get the better camera and video. Has the video improved much, dynamic range in these newer units?

Using the XS Max. Trying to decide if I should keep it or get a smaller size iPhone 11.

Take advantage of the 14 day return period, if you don’t like it, then revert back to your Max. You won’t lose any money and you’ll know which size you prefer before the trial period ends.

I don’t take much video but a lot of reviews claim the XR and XS cameras to be amongst the best video recorders you can buy in a phone.

I will keep my iPhone XS Max for another year because of a paid upgrade (not free) for iPhone 2019. My next iPhone should be iPhone 2020 with 5G Cellular.

Unclear if my iPhone XS Max got a battery replacement for my Christmas 2019.

After all these leaks I decided to pass this year with my 7+. But I need to see the phone in hand before make my decision. I'm now 50/50 I want to upgrade but I don't know if the 3 camera lineup worth it. I love how XS looks but for now I feel bad to buy a 1 year old phone when the new ones just about to come.
So I want to upgrade my phone but we'll see. I always want to newest but I'm trying to get in to the mood of "Buy what you want when you want and enjoy. Don't worry it's just a phone." :D

I have the iPhone 7 plus. Chances of an upgrade this fall are about 50/50.

Main incentive to upgrade: The plus is too frelling big!

Main incentive to keep: It's still a very capable phone!

Exactly my thoughts!

iPhone SE.

I will use it until it’s not supported...and then probably still keep using it even on not current iOS versions if I have to.

I don’t want phones that are physically as large as the 4.7” devices (or larger)
