im so depressed i live in canada right about now...

id be in lines so early to get it if i could...eurgh :'(

I really cant tell you... I've been waiting since Jan. so I'll wait in line up to 4 days if need be...
I assume I'll get there at close on the 28th... unless a line starts to form before then ;)

i dont understand how you people can wait for over a day! don't you guys have jobs to go to? haha

I don't really want to have to wait in line, but I will if it means getting an iPhone on launch day. There's an AT&T store right across the street from my office, so as soon as I see a line start to form, I'll take off early from work and head over there. There is also an Apple store close to where I live, but I am guessing that the lines there will be much longer - especially since it's in the mall.

I'll probably just leave work around 5:!5 (usually leave at 5:45 to beat 6:00 traffic) and head to the town center, where there are both an AT&T store and Apple Store. The funny thing is, is that if there is a long line, both lines from both stores will intersect  .

Anyways, if they do intersect, they will probably run out.

God, I hope not another Wii happens :(

:apple:

Going....

I'm going on the 28th around 9 PM, just camping overnight will likely get one in my hands in the small town of Medford, OR

on my way to getting my sweet b-day tattoo i will stop if there are a few people!

steve jobs asked me what i want for my b-day and i said, "put the iPhone out on the 29(my 21 b-day) and i will buy you a cold one!"

My question is because all the Apple stores in Houston, TX are inside malls how should I approach camping out on the 28th. I got to an opening for one of the stores here in Houston at 5am and entered the mall (they open doors for cleaning and the old people that walk the malls) so I'm betting I can get in pretty early, but it would be nice to spend the whole night right outside the front door of the store.

Do you guys really think it will be necessary to camp put for it? I mean... this isn't a PS3 or Wii again. Not EVERYONE can buy it (well, technically anyone can buy it), but who is willing to pay a $150-$200 ETF with their current provider and hand over $600 to AT&T?) Or for all the AT&T customers that are not even a year into their contract and aren't eligible to upgrade yet? I don't think I'm going to camp out or even wait in line for that matter. I'm still gonna get one regardless... I don't even care that I work for Sprint. That won't stop me :D

i was thinking the same thing. this is $600 assuming you have at&t already. how many will fork out possibly $800 or more to get one? i wont camp 3 friggin days for it. i will go the morning of the 29th and wait, most likely. i think we may be overreacting on how big this will be. i dont think it will be like the wii or PS3. i just cant see peopel caming out overnight for a phone! a $600 at that!

I don't plan on camping out, in fact i will be out of town, but that will not stop me from trying to get one. I am just hoping they can update my account (already cingular / At&t customer) outside of home location.

Not sure if anyone has thought of this but
Rumored 3 mil phones @ launch
1800 AT&T corporate stores
170 Apple stores
That's roughly 1500 per store, not sure i see the need to camp out if they actually produce the 3M qty.

Even if they only produce 1M phones, that still a little better than 500 phones to each locale
