Cosmos- My Sunday DVR recording schedule is so congested , I can't record this on Fox, but I just discovered Cosmos is available on Monday nights on National Geographic channel and on on-demand, yippee! Plus there is a Cosmos iPad app with episodes on it. :)

100 billon galaxies in the observable universe... Slightly mind boggling. :)

Is this the excellent Carl Sagan series, from the 1980s, or something else again, newer and equally interesting? (And if it is something else, who made it, when, and where can I obtain it, as I love to watch these sort of programmes?)

It's a reboot of Carl Sagan's series and hosted by Neil Degrasse Tyson. I just started watching in on the website: http://www.cosmosontv.com

I watched the first episode yesterday and it was amazing.

Produced by Sagan's widow/partner Ann Druyan and Family Guy's Seth MacFarlane.

FWIW the animated sequences have been great, and fortunately not in Family Guy's style.

B

I saw Seth's name in the credits the other day and I kind of chuckled. I am glad the show isn't done Family Guy style too! :p

Just finished season 1 of Homeland by myself. Also finished up season 3 of Breaking Bad with my wife last night too.

Watching the pilot episode for the AMC show Turn. Very good stuff with history and tons of redcoats.

RESURRECTION SPOILERS

While a lot of stuff happened in the season finale of Resurrection last night (more than the rest of the entire season), it left a bad taste in my mouth. I guess military involvement/quarantine was inevitable, but as a season finale, there were no answers regarding "the returned" - where they came from or why/how they came back. Finales should answer at least some questions, not just introduce new ones.

I commented in the Ressurection thread- ok, underwhelming as far as SFs go imo. I read an article and someone close to the show (producer?) said there was going to be a big cliff hanger bomb shell... I did not see it that way, but I'll watch this next season.

Last night's episode of 24: Live Another Day smashed my expectations! Jack Bauer in the underground is great and he breaks out Chloe.

Pure fun and lots of great action. Going to see the remainder of the season for sure.

I watched the premiere of Penny Dreadful on Showtime last night. It's more creepy than scary, but I really enjoyed it. There's a star cast including Timothy Dalton (!), Josh Hartnett and Eva Green, and a mashup of classic monsters. Can't wait for next week!

Only went back a couple of pages and didn't see a mention, anybody watching Turn on AMC? Thoughts?

I saw the pilot episode and really loved it. I probably will download on iTunes when the season is over. I have too much to watch on the backlog.
