I've invented the most useless device: a switch that notifies you when it's on.

In a coffee shop.
Dinner has been consumed, Brexit is looming, and beer is beckoning.

However, Mother is happy and fed - she ate two sausages and adores roast potatoes. Roasting vegetables caramelises them, which means that they taste sweet, which, as she has a sweet tooth, ensured that she will fall on them greedily.

You should add a PRNG to it and have it randomly notify you about its state, and send both ON and OFF notifications (the latter being more useful than it first seems). Next enhancement: use an AI to acquire new states from trending terms, like NOT SURE IF SERIOUS, :–), DISGUSTED, and TRIGGERED. Determinism and bivalent states in switches are so 2nd millenium.

Useless? Are you kidding?

I would have installed that on my step daughter’s phone to inform her she left the bathroom light on again.

Alternatively, could you just put a geofence around the bathroom and we can assume the light was left on

Thank you in advance.

You're an absolute MADMAN!

No installation required; it's just texting me.

In my experience, the radius of geofences is too big for a bathroom.

They take bathrooms very seriously in Minnesota.

Wait, did I say bathrooms? Sorry, I meant pastures. I guess for the bovine crowd, it's the same.

Ahem. We have lakes and walleye in Minnesota. Pastures, bovines, and hogs are all in that dreadful state - which will remain nameless - to the south.

I was just over on the Possible Further Evidence of Surface Erosion on the Moon thread, and it occurred to me that if the OP were in Pompeii in 79CE, they'd probably worry about drowning.

Ahem.

That is actually very funny.

I won't stoop to acronyms (lol??) - but that is hilarious.

In that case, I would respectfully refer the OP to the exemplary and entirely worthy example of (prompted by scientific curiosity, - I mean, Eve only wanted to know what that damned apple tasted like - from what I have read) Pliny the Elder (someone I do respect).

Wow, suddenly my MBA have been updated to sent, but still delivery is far away. 19 nov now. It also says that it have beens sent from different places.

Maybe I shouldn’t had them deliver the usb-c lightning cord together with the MBA o_O

Well, it’s on its way, maybe date will change later.

Edit. Ok, on one deliver message, it say LATEST the 19th, ok can be sooner :)

Just saw a page two MR article and was reminded of the fact that we're living in the future.

Yesterday's dinner was excellent, leftovers tonight, now off to meet with a colleague from HQ marketing and then to meet some former colleagues and alumni at a local cafe/bar. My life has been busier in both good and bad ways the last two years than it has been the previous five...

I’ve checked Apple’s delivery tracker way too many times now, and it haven’t changed :(
Still on 19th. Apple owners, we are nuts.

Even when I’m drop dead after Ashtanga.
Life is hard. But I prevail :D
