Some people swear by them, but they don't much suit me, I must say.
They were awesome for drawing, watching videos and casual surfing, but none of that is worth the mounting annoyances just get them to play nice.

I am looking into a substitute today which will allow me to do those and much more, been thinking about said substitute for a year now. It’s time.

What substitute do you have in mind?

I don’t use mine much. Generally streaming sports or web browsing. The odd card game.
Truth be told I only have one as a hand me down. Mrs AFB has a iPad Pro and spends hours on it. I have her old iPad Air 2 (I think).

In my case, as I do a lot of writing, I need a proper keyboard and when I had an iPad, I didn't much like it as writing wasn't at all comfortable, not if you had to write extensively.

In fact, what came to mind was the old idea that the iPad was excellent for consumption of material, but not so good for the creation of same.

Anyway, I got the stuff off on time that I had been working on yesterday off on time this morning (and received acknowledgements an hour or so ago).

Oh that is great.
How are the internal graphics with your photography? Or did you buy an eGPU?
eGPU? I'm not made of money! Fine for my needs. If I find its struggling on video (which I plan to get into a bit for Mrs AFB crafts), then I can add one later.
Currently driving a BenQ SW271 4K monitor with ease. I'll be picking up a matching one for it soon, when we have done some decorating and I can get a bigger desk.

I will be very much interested in your opinion about the keyboard.

Yes, that is a worry, I must admit, and I really would like to believe that steps have been taken to address these concerns.

The keyboard of my 11" MBA is one that I like.

Now, I know that the first generation and second generation keyboards of the MBs, (and indeed, MBPs) have had some serious issues, and I am curious as to whether - and to what extent - Apple have addressed these concerns.

I write a lot, and a keyboard I am comfortable with is something that matters to me.

What’s on my mind working since an hour ago and I normally start at 9:00.

Am hoping supervisor will say okay since they are flexible here, and I can leave at 10:45 to see if this Best Buy will do exchange or refund.

Good luck with it. Thinking about work stuff and my trip to Germany Tuesday morning.

I was jolted awake this morning at 5:00 to a loud buzzing and a shower of sparks outside my window followed by the electricity shutting off. I then looked out my window to see an orange glow inside the oak tree by the fence. So my roommate and I are both up, about to call 9/11 when my neighbor bangs on the door and says he saw a fire. We all go into the backyard, everything is sopping wet, been raining all night, and we can see that the power line that runs through the oak tree has come loose and the end of it is on fire, a small smoldering fire, too wet to spread. My neighbor grabs the garden hose and aims it at the fire, putting it out. He then called PG&E for us. Power is still out, and I can see the limp wire hanging from the pole.

This is a morning I won’t soon forget. Hope my electrical devices are not fried and the surge protectors lived up to their name.

Glad you’re okay. Will think the same for your devices.

Trivial annoyances are on my mind this morning.

losing track of half-pairs of insulated gloves (one pair blue, the other black).
having lost one of the blue gloves sometime after the first snowfall 2 years ago.
having kept the other blue one around all that time.
having thrown it out while spring cleaning last April.
having lost the left black glove sometime in the past week or so.
wondering if the dark blue one I threw away was a righty or lefty...

Wow.

Glad to see that you seem to be fine and devoutly hope your devices didn't suffer any damage.

Whew, ThisBougieLife, that must've been a startling and alarming awakening! Yikes! Good to hear that you are OK and fingers crossed that all your devices are fine as well....

On my mind today: minor annoyance of the iPhone X (which is the phone I use for my at-home line) using the default ringtone instead of the custom one I have set up..... I'm thinking that maybe the last iOS update did something weird, as that has happened in the past.
