She's a cat, that's all. You must have done something.Does anybody know how to re-gruntle a cat (avatar <- see left).
She has been wandering around, with a definite air of disgruntlement.
I'm sure she left it somewhere and forgotten where it is.
Hope it works out for you. We lived next to a bad neighbour for 15 years. When they moved we were so relieved.Just found out the worst neighbour I have ever dealt with is moving, in one week but still.
Well I can't afford housing (for a house as opposed to an apartment) prices in Switzerland and otherwise my flat and neighbourhood are terrific. It's just that no matter what I did was too noisy for them. I will have a chat with my concierge to see who is moving in afterwards if she knows.Hope it works out for you. However the new neighbours were worse. Much worse.
So we moved. So more relaxed where we are in the country. Our last house was detached but only a meter from the neighbouring house. Here we have a lot more space between us and our closest neighbour.
Well hopefully it all works out. It’s decades since I’ve lived in an apartment (or flats as we call them in the UK). Really not for me. I’m not much of a people person. I prefer my own space and peace and quiet.Well I can't afford housing (for a house as opposed to an apartment) prices in Switzerland and otherwise my flat and neighbourhood are terrific. Scammers everywhere I’m afraid. Take photos of the parcel and weight as you send them.Having a nightmare with eBay. I recently sold an Apple Watch and then an iPad to two different buyers. Then, the first buyer got in touch with me to say the Apple Watch wasn’t in the package, instead there was a pink jumper! Later the same day the second buyer got in touch saying that the iPad wasn’t in their package, but some hair clips!
I tried to contact Ebay but it is impossible, everyone’s just AI nowadays, you just “speak” to a bot. Their recommendation was to issue refunds to both buyers which is what I did. Now eBay say that I owe them nearly £800. I just cannot speak to eBay about this and want them to investigate the buyers. I have sold on eBay for 15 years and have never had any problems. I contacted the police who gave me a crime reference number but said there is little they can do. Either the shop where I dropped the parcels off have interfered with the packages, or the currier drive, warehouse staff or (more likely to me) the buyers.
Anyway, that’s my eBay nightmare at the moment. Any advice from anyone will be greatly appreciated.
Always a pleasure when that happens.Just found out the worst neighbour I have ever dealt with is moving, in one week but still.
Yes I recall you have spoken about this "wonderful" person heading the condominium association, we have a real estate company that owns my block of flats which is correct and responsive to need repairs or issues. Also the concierge and her husband are really wonderful people who are very helpful and well, kind. I hope things improve and you either get a better person as chairman or you find a better accommodation in your neighbourhood.Always a pleasure when that happens.
For now the close neighbors I have are pretty good - but the chairman in the condominium association I live in is a nightmare.
She don't care a squat about the association, are only interested in herself and enhance her power in the condomium association. So she got a few boy-men around her in the board that she bosseses around with, and drives questions that only costs mony for the condominium - and then raises the fees.
Earlier chairmens have been interested in getting this a better place, and serve at their best - she is just powerhungry and self-obsessed.
The board neither take up questions that we asks about, instead we are invited to do this ourselves in the board as guests at the board.
But I have almost zero loans left on my mortgage, so it seems like it's time to go looking for a new condo. Hadn't planned it just now, but I have been thinking on it at times.
The location where I live now is just so perfect, so I really want to find something rather close.
We'll see, I also have a list of things to either fix here at home or sell off, to make the move easier.
Until I do, I'll just ignore her, and hope the men don't dance too hard to her pipe.
She is pretty new on the board, and in the house, neither have I been is this thread for some time, so I don't think so - but whatever - and thank you for the post about the joy of getting rid of your neighbor, that made me post 😁Yes I recall you have spoken about this "wonderful" person heading the condominium association, we have a real estate company that owns my block of flats which is correct and responsive to need repairs or issues. Well clearly you ARE a person for cupcakes as you bought them!At Costco today, they had a package of absolutely ENORMOUS holiday cupcakes, at least 10x bigger than normal ones. They were cheap, so I just had to get a pack. Just had one now, and it was... an experience, to say the least. I am definitely not one for cupcakes or anything of the sort, but I didn't think they were that bad. Just really hard to eat. I can definitely only eat one though, so I'll be sharing the rest with my family.
If I at least had the urge to try them, then maybe.Well clearly you ARE a person for cupcakes as you bought them!
Same here.Or so I’ve heard. Last time there was a cupcake in this house it was 10 plus years ago I’m sure!
I remember wanting to buy a rowhome around Philadelphia. I believe you call them Terrace Houses. It was in the middle of the block and the garage was around the back. I couldn't imagine it being less chaotic that my current building with 9 flats.Hope it works out for you. We lived next to a bad neighbour for 15 years. When they moved we were so relieved.

Indeed we do call them terrace houses. Our first house was a block of six. Looked like three terrace houses from outside, but each flat was just on one floor, but each had its own front door.I remember wanting to buy a rowhome around Philadelphia. In Philadelphia, there are thousands of blocks of rowhomes, all three story homes. Some are more modern than others.Indeed we do call them terrace houses. Our first house was a block of six. That was in London. Then we moved to the midlands and bought a bigger detached place for less than we sold the flat for. Lived there 18 years. Now we have been in our detached bungalow for nearly 5 years. My next move will be in a box.
I spent a week exploring Phillie, mostly on foot, and noticed all those rowhomes. The older ones have arms above the upstairs windows, with a small mirror aimed directly down; we were told it allowed the homeowner to identify the visitor (family/friend, salesman, redcoat) before running down the stairs to answer. Kind've a late-1700's "doorbell camera"!In Philadelphia, there are thousands of blocks of rowhomes, all three story homes. Some are more modern than others.

How does costco work btw? I heard you can only go in if youre a member? At Costco today, they had a package of absolutely ENORMOUS holiday cupcakes, at least 10x bigger than normal ones. Costco is membership only, just like Sam's Club, BJ's Wholesale Club, etc.How does costco work btw? I heard you can only go in if youre a member?
Btw I'm not so boujie that I don't shop for discounts, I just do so through walmart sadly.
On that topic, these great value sour cream and onion chips are 2 die 4.
That's correct, you have to show your membership card when you enter the store. Ultimately, I think a Costco membership has proven to benefit my family quite a bit. Whether or not I have one of my own down the line is another question (it would make little sense to buy a bunch of items in bulk for one person). How does costco work btw?
