Strange, when I click yes to install on pyger, nothing happens. I had it up until Sundsy.

Hi guys,
can somebody confirm that after uninstall the beta application, install the app store official version and deleting the provisioning profiles (actually I only found one profile) through Xcode, I can be safe that my iPhone is not at any security risk?
Thanks!

Apple said that the WireLurker has been disabled, so I wouldn't be too worried. I also wonder how you found the provisioning profiles in the Settings, since I've found that Apple has removed the ability for users to manually add/remove profiles in iOS8? Where do you see the profiles installed?

Don't worry, I am. Any chance you could share the signed .ipa along with certificate? .13 final would be great!!

I've not got a copy of the ipa sorry. I don't have the certificate as Pgyer signs it.

Xcode

How? downloaded it but can't see anything?

Okay, took me a while to figure out how to delete provisioning profiles with xcode.

1. Download xcode from the mac app store
2. Connect your phone to your mac and open xcode
3. Go to Window > Devices
4. Select your iPhone on the right side under "Devices"
5. Right click on your iPhone and select "Show provisioning profiles"
6. Select the profile and hit the minus button. Click done.

/edit: I should probably add that I used the whatsapp beta but then switched back to the appstore version.

see the instruction from earlier

I'm curious, why can't we just remove the profiles in Xcode but leave the beta on the phone? I'm not a technical person so I'm genuinely interested why this wouldn't work.

You need the profile for the beta to run, after deleting the profile and restarting your phone, the beta will crash right after launch.

Wow! I installed the Beta today. Read this forum this deleted it immediately and installed the official WhatsApp from the App Store.

Do I have to worry about anything? Should I restore my phone when I get home and back up from my iCloud back up which would have been before the app was installed?

Well, I did not erase anything else from the phone. I only erased the beta app and installed the official app store one (and lost all chat history...). I only erased something - maybe I named it by mistake provisioning profile - through the Xcode.

Can Xcode be used on a Windows machine? I don't have a Mac

No Windows version, you need a Mac. A workaround would be completely restoring your phone, and then NOT restoring from a backup (that would be pointless since you'd just put the provisioning profiles back onto the phone)

But if I restore from a back up that was before I put the Beta on my phone that would be fine right?

Cant find it :(

I emailed whatsapp support to ask about the update. Here is their response :

Thanks for your message.

Thanks for your feedback on the interface in the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6+. We are currently working hard on an update that will support the larger screen on the new phones, and we will get it out to you as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience with WhatsApp.

Cheers!
