Maybe that's why these are limited to the business section.

Yeap, I read an update was coming, saw the event was scheduled, read after it was a bit of a lame update and no OLED as expected and was told, ah the consumer ones are rumoured for May with OLED and all the other goodies. Makes sense.

But then watch, the consumer version won't have the 64GB RAM option. MS is always pulling crap like that.

What an incredibly dramatic exaggeration. “If it doesn’t get announced next week, then it won’t be announced for another two and a half months.” There’s plenty of time between now and WWDC.
Just my thoughts. Remember Vision Pro launch to other western territories needs to fit in somehow before WWDC. Apple won’t go into their developers conference touting vision OS 2 without expanding its market.
My thoughts are we will see new iPads next Tuesday with a presser announcing Vision Pro for other countries starting mid/end April.

Right. If there's a redesign, which apparently there is, some people might be very unhappy to find this out after the fact, considering they are selling a SP 10 now, in the older SP 9 form. To find this out after the return window closes because there's a lack of guidance would be unfortunate. Just because it's in the business section shouldn't obscure the whole buying process. It seems to muddy the waters at least.

They sold a Surface Go 4 in the business division (no consumer model), with only a processor upgrade, so I'm wondering if they will now release a Surface Go 4 with a redesign for the consumer division.

Note: I posted earlier in this thread about the SP 10. I looked at it on their site and I think subconsciously I must have noticed something was wrong, as I knew there was a redesign, ARM versions, OLED, etc, yet it didn't dawn on me that I was looking at a SP 9 with a new chip. Again, strange. They MUST be causing some issues with this type of thing.

Latest MBA comparison update. The M3 MBA 13in has been reduced further to £100 off at Costco (£999) and the 16GB/512GB version is £1400, which will likely be around the iPad Pro 13in price. God damn, that is appealing.

Pricing of this new OLED iPad Pro will be make or break for me with the current OS as it is.

Not really. Really, its getting childish attacking Samsung like this, especially since they make many of Apple's parts.
Did i read this wrongly then? The brand new Samsung S9 can't even beat a 2022 ipad pro in benchmark tests. The new ipad pro will crush it like a bug. How is this attacking Samsung when it's a fact?

"
On the Geekbench 5 CPU benchmark, the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra scored 1,560 on single-core and 4,970 on multi-core — both of which are commendable scores. However, the Apple M2-driven iPad Pro (1,862 / 8,500) crushed the Android tablet in CPU performance.

The Tab S9 Ultra scored 14,722 and hit 88 frames per second on the 3D Mark Wildlife Unlimited test, which measures graphics performance. The iPad Pro once again crushed the Samsung slate by scoring 25,219 and hitting 151 fps. Though Apple’s tablet outdid the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra on this test, Samsung’s slate is very much capable of running demanding mobile games.

Lastly, in our Adobe Premiere Rush video transcoding test, the Galaxy Tab S9 took 41 seconds to complete the task. That’s pretty good, but the iPad Pro handled the task in a zippier 23 seconds.

Even if the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra can’t match the M2-driven iPad Pro in performance, Samsung’s tablet is still one of the most powerful Android tablets we’ve tested.

In our battery test, which tasks the tablet with endlessly surfing the Internet over Wi-Fi with its screen set to 150 nits of brightness, the Tab S9 Ultra lasted for 9 hours and 27 minutes at a 60Hz refresh rate. On the other hand, the iPad Pro lasted for over an hour longer — though it has a smaller display and runs on the energy-efficient Apple M2 chip.

There's not much more to say here. The iPad Pro can literally outlast the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra."

All I will say on this is, benchmarks on a tablet are the most useless stat there is.

Personally i´m pretty disappointed with this new ipad pro. I was saving to buy a new one but after the M3 vulnerabilities and the lack of AI chip, i´m not sure anymore.

M3 is not affected. See below.
Hector knows these M chips very well

100% The software is so ridiculously under-powered for the hardware on both Android and iPadOS. It's a complete joke.
I’m hoping Apple has something special in store for iPad OS 18 at WWDC, but we’ve been saying that for nearly a decade so I highly doubt it. Even if the Pros are announced in April I think I will wait to see what the new OS has to offer before buying.🤞

Ok. This whole thing is super aggravating but what can ya do. Apple does what Apple does when Apple wants to do when Apple wants to do it.

THAT SAID....I'm really hoping for next week announcement, launch the following week.... It KINDA makes sense. The recent M3 Macbook Airs were announced on the 4th...launched that friday. Maybe Apple does something simular?

I mean, give the MacBook Airs an entire month to themselves, then on to the Ipads. Let us not forget, the first gen iPads were released on April 3th, 2010. 14 years ago IN APRIL.

Now to be fair it was announced on January 27th of that year, but they wanted a few months to build the hype for what then was a brand new product category for them which is what they did recently with the Apple Vision Pro.

They had 8 months of Hyping the thing up before that hit the market back in February 2nd of this year, and that was the center of attention for a month and 2 days before the new MacBook Airs were announced.

So, based off of that, id say its a fair chance they do the same here.

Now that said...do they announce the airs and pros at the same time...or do they separate them? Maybe April is for the Ipad Air's and May for the pros?

That way they have a new product out once every month until WWDC (and at WWDC they put out the M3 Mini and Studios and Pros) and then come September, Iphone Apple Watch time, Maybe new Maxes and October November for the updated Minis?

Or am i just finding patters wear none exists?

Instant Digital said Pro would not definitely "sold" as early as "before" April 3rd. That kind of tells me it wouldn't even launch next week either.
