Didn't Gurman say the new iPads were being mass produced back in January and February? Why is he saying that they are being mass produced NOW?

Well al least we know not to give a blind bit of notice to any Gurman leaks relating to release times.
March, then April, now May. Probably get announced alongside the iPhone 16 at this rate.

If the prediction turns out to be true… this will be the longest I’ve seen Apple go without updating the iPad Pro line, 19 months?

This OLED display must be magical!

Yeah, it’s all over the place… at first he claimed it was software related when I think it’s more due to the production as Ross Young indicated.

I think Apple is looking to make sure they have enough 11-inch models because of the potential demand compared to the 12.9-inch models.

I gave up and just got the M2 ipad pro. I would not have liked the new prices anyway as I have a price limit that I want to pay for an ipad I was not interested in the new prices.

May?!? Alright **** it I’m getting a MacBook Air for now and then maybe when a third party retailer discounts the new pros I’ll get one then. This has become a ridiculous wait.

Wow… It’s a wrap for me. I am going to trade my MacBook Air and get MacBook Pro M3 Pro. I was holding out for a new iPad Pro. I wanted the OLED screen and portability of the iPad. I’ll wait until next year.

I mean... if the iPads are available in early May (and if that's what Gurman is talking about), then we most likely will have a press release within April

A Steam Deck is a tiny screen. An iPad is not.
It's still an issue though. I've used touchscreen Windows laptops since Windows 8 launched around 2012, I think? Websites and such are usually okay, but the desktop environment is nowhere near as touch friendly. Our fingers are fatter than a mouse pointer or stylus tip, and desktop UI's weren't designed for them. I'm not saying that MacOS couldn't be made more touch friendly, but like I said before, I think it would make more sense to make iPadOS more capable than to make MacOS more mobile.

I’m more under the impression we’ll get an iPad Air announcement if anything for April. One device a month (going back to MBA M3) doesn’t seem far fetched anymore.

aka fragile, aka problematic, aka issue prone.
