I ordered the day of the keynote, at 11:03 am PST.
OK, well then, there's hope that mine will ship today as well

Edit: Oh, one more question: What was your most recent estimated ship date? (mine is Feb 28th)

Mine finally shipped as well! :D :D

It says it was after the FedEx cutoff, but has an estimated delivery date of Feb 22 (I paid for the 2-day shipping, don't know if that makes a difference).

Either way, I can hardly wait!

Mine shipped after the cutoff of the 18th (Singapore) as well, order that was placed on the 12th at 9am.

:( So unfair that the 2.0GHz would ship first. I hope mine will ship Monday, considering I did place my order the day of the Keynote.

I think its even more unfair that someone who hasnt been waiting a month for their order can walk into an Apple Store and pick one up before I will even see a shipping confirmation likely.

battery life on 1.83 versus 2.0

This might be slightly off topic, but I've gotten used to the folks on this list so will post it here...how do you think the different processor models will compare in terms of battery life (say the screen is dimmed down so that the processor matters most)? Naively one would think that while a 1.83 uses less per unit time, the 2.0 does faster work, so it boils down to the same. However if the processor heat doesn't scale linearly with speed, this would not be true and cooling down the 2.0 (or 2.16) would make it more wasteful. I wonder how big the deviation from a linear scaling could be.

Even though my machine "shipped" 24 hours ago, its still in China [as per the FedEx tracking tool]. I dont think it will leave the continent untill Monday morning in China.

Well, that's only like 5 hours away

Is your machine a 1.83 GHz (which is what Wes Jordan was referring to)?

Argh ! Can anyone in the mean time please invent a time travel device that jumps forwards exactly 16 days?

Its not that anything is unfair, it was confirmed that Apple's delays to shipping all the orders was because of Intel's shortage.

quite simply, they prob had more 2.0 availible than 1.83's.

Is there anyone with a 1.83 shipped e-mail? or are there only 2.0 versions?

Probably all 2.0 versions. In Apple's press release on Feb. 14, they said that this past week they would begin shipping the 2.0s and this coming week they would begin shipping the 1.83s.

My 2.16 CTO MBP has shipped!

YES! My MacBook Pro 2.16 w/1 gig Ram and 7200/100GB Hard Drive has officially shipped Today, Sunday, Feb. 19! Whoever said about the 2.16's not shipping was dead wrong, I ordered about 2:20 P.M. (PST) on Jan. 10, called on Feb. 14 to ask a fine young (old?) man (@ Apple Customer Service) to update my current order to 2.16 so I wouldn't lose my place in line, and of today it has been shipped. If anybody does not believe and wishes to see the proof in a screen shot, just ask. I am jumping for joy as I'm sure many have you have seen me and my bad grammar/spelling all over these MacBook Pro forums! The only downside is if battery life does become unspectacular, no canceling the order now. Here's hoping for the best and being super excited in the mean time!:D

I noticed this AM that mine has already arrived in Anchorage and departed for (most likely Seattle or Memphis). Based on past orders with Apple, I say there's a good chance that I get it tomorrow. I cannot find any info on FedEx's website indicating if they are in-fact running tomorrow. I assume they are. We're talking FedEx here, not the Postal Service! Anyways, I really prefer that it come Tuesday because I have a busy day tomorrow at the office and really cannot afford to stay home to sign for it. But, if it shows Out-For-Delivery tomorrow AM, then I am staying home baby!!

I just played around witht the 'get transit time' feature of the FedEx website, and it says that delivery by Monday morning in Houston is consistent with departure from Anchorage (I used ZIP for this 99501) on Sunday... guess I'll be checking that FedEx widget tonight and tomorrow...:D

According to this page, FedEx does not observe President's day. Woot! :)

Mine is on the same plane... a plane full of MBPs??

My guess is that it reached the Memphis hub on Sunday morning, and that they are on their way to final destinations tonight, but that we won't see that on the tracking pages until tomorrow, or late tonight. Could be out for delivery tomorrow.

The only thing that speaks against that is the weather delays reported at the hub on Saturday, which could cause delays if the plane schedules were messed up.

Monday or Tuesday - either way, a lot faster than many thought (at least for some of us who are lucky to be in this early batch).

Don't take FedEx's Delivery Dates Seriously, Especially for International Packages. Most things move pretty fast even on the weekends. If it's shipped during the week, it normally makes it to it's destination overnight.

My iMac was delivered 2 days earlier in January, and my iPod from China was delivered 4-5 days early.

macbook pro shipping database

hi,

I've just hacked together a simple macbook shipping dates database.

It would be nice if you could submit your order date, shipping date, est. shipping date and so on, so that we can more easily track while waiting :)

http://www.schmidp.com/macbook/index.php

(you have to be pretty exact when entering dates, or you might get an error)

ok so when i did get the e-mail about the upgrade i was thrilled for two reasons one being the obvious and two being that the shipdate was March 8th....I was thrilled about the 8th because my order status page says the 15th....but now I'm questioning....which do I believe? the e-mail or the order status page?
