Black/Space Grey

I wanted a Rose Gold/White, not an option for the 12.9", but I'm okay with it. Matches my iMac and my other iPad. I suspect I'll move from a Rose Gold iPhone 6s Plus to a black iPhone 8, but it really depends on the color options. Anticipating the iPhone 8 is what ended up driving the bezel decision the most TBH.

I went from black on the Air 2 to white on the 10.5. I don't notice the white bezel any more than I noticed the black. For me, they both blend into the background when using the iPad.

I've always gotten the white ones. No fingerprints everywhere. I like the way it looks when apps and browser are open. Black only looks good to me when the device is off. Lol

Gold. When I buy a brand new, high-end Apple device, I want people to NOTICE it. I pick the color with the most flair, the one that will turn the most heads. In Gold's case, its also a nice choice because it emphasizes my finances. Not that any Apple users are all that poor, but Gold is somewhat reserved for those who have serious amounts of $$$.

I actually prefer the black bezel, but these reasons were why I picked a maxed out gold iPad.
Oh the wittiness on this forum. Hilarious!!

I switch off. My last iPhone & iPad had a black bezel. When I got my iPhone 7 plus I went with the white/Rose Gold. Loved it. So I wanted to switch it up on my iPad also. I went with the iPad Pro 10.5 in White/Rose Gold & I ADORE it!!! I also got the Saddle Brown cover & it is beautiful together...very simple, clean & elegant...

I have black on my iPhone and white on my iPad. My last three iPads have been white. The iPhone I went with matte black and love the black on black, if it was space grey only I'd have a white bezel on the iPhone too, I just really dislike space grey.

My Air 2 was white / gold and I opted for the same color scheme again, I've grown accustomed to the gold. The silver is a little boring and the rose gold is a little too much for me.

Went white for my 12.9. For some reason the thick bezels look better to me in white. And it strongly reminds me of my beloved first mac...2007 white MacBook.

Went black for my 10.5. Think the skinny bezels look great in black. And as this is my more mobile iPad I like how it matches my black phone when out and about. Plus I'm one of those people you see taking photos with my iPad (new camera is so awesome) and black space gray feels more right to me for this device and it's uses. For me anyways...

Whatever you decide hope you enjoy your new iPad(s) as much as me.

Funny, I have a similar feeling as well. Have always gotten white devices (big fan of white for design in general). Since iOS 7 I've liked the look of the white front with the bright UI. But I do think the black front looks much sleeker when the device is off (especially newer iPhones, almost can't tell where the screen is within the front glass). However I do think with the new iPhone we probably won't see a white front anymore (kind of like the Watch).

I loved your comment. If you think an Ipad pro is a "high end" device, then trust me, you don't have any money!

They're just mainstream/medium-priced tablets. I could buy a new Ipad pro every single month, if I felt the need, and it wouldn't make a dent in my income.

The same goes for thinking buying things in gold, demonstrates wealth. It's usually people who don't have any money, who buy blingy things.

You sound more like someone who think gold ipads make you look wealthy

White to match my my car and my iphone, but with the iphone 8 or whatever its gonna be called rumored to only be coming in black (At least the screen ) its got my contemplating switching to black for the first time since the ipad 2

It's my first time no an Apple forum, and you guys are basically kinda weird.

Do you just buy every Apple device/upgrade, regardless if you need it or not, and regardless of how good it is?

I bought an Ipad pro because I needed it. And it's only the 2nd apple device I have ever had. I buy the best product for what I want to do.

Seriously, it's not healthy just to be in the "cult of apple". Loyally buying whatever crap they release. Some Apple stuff is great, and some of it is bullsh*t

Bought white for the past two genertaions, but went back to black for the 10.5. I think the black blends into my office backgorund better, helping my eyes to stay focused on the screen.

@ceejmooney79 - I do, I have enough disposable income to have it so why not. Sometimes it's convenient seeing my MacBook across the room and not wanting to get up then remembering my iPads laying next to me so I just grab that instead lol

Interesting that it seems like only those of us who prefer black bezels seem to notice that border.
Good point. I have actually never noticed the little black border. I have a white iPad Air 2 and a white iPhone 6. Now you've mentioned it, It's annoying me lol.

White. I've not ordered my 12.9 yet and was considering space grey. But after reading this thread I think I'll stick with silver and white. Black bezels just seen to remind me too much of work (Lenovo Thinkpad, Windows pish). White is more fun and differentiates work from leisure. I also do a lot of writing on my current iPad (white Air 2) and Ulysses App looks phenomenal on that. Yeah definitely silver/white for me I think.

I think you are as guilty as the person who wrote the post you replied to. “I could buy a new iPad Pro every single month, if I felt the need, and it would’t make a dent in my income”.

LOL thanks for sharing that, big guy.

Possibly the most narcissistic nonsense I've read on here in ages.

Oh, and while you say it's often those with no money who buy "blingy" things, it's also most often the case that those who brag about their supposed income on the internet, tend to make a lot less than they actually do.

You backed yourself into a corner by making a quite factual statement and then falling foul of it; yes, people who have money, in the main, don't need to brag about it or buy expensive things just to show that they do.

And while this is your first time on an Apple forum, with posts like that I would most certainly hope it would be your last.

Anyway, moving on and on the topic of the thread, I picked up the white iPad 9.7 last Thursday and for the first time I decided to go for the white/silver version. I've owned iPad 3, iPad 4, iPad Air, and iPad Air 2 and they've all been black/space grey so I decided to go for something different this time around.

I like it, I don't find it distracting in the slightest.

I went with the white/silver option this time. I had the 12.9" iPP 1st Gen in white/silver, then switched to the 9.7" iPP in space gray/black, and now I'm back to white/silver on the 10.5" iPP.

I think I just swap back and forth because I find that all of the color options are amazing.

Same with the iPhone 7, I have the Jet Black and I love it, but frankly I find all the other color options to be great too.

White. I had my heart set on space gray, but was too impatient to wait for the space gray 512gb/cellular to come in stock.
