Well, another reason why I haven't opened the box yet is because I've been really busy. My brother is moving, so I've been helping him pack and move. I plan on using the new phone tonight, case or no case.
I agree with you about enjoying its true form. I don't think any phone feels as good as a naked iPhone. I've been using my XS Max without a case on it because I'm taking it to the Apple Store (I'm getting its battery replaced and giving it to my dad).
I'll excuse it then. :)

It happens to me every year, usually with an Apple leather case. I start out with a case because who doesn't want to protect their new phone, right? It usually only takes a few months for it to become drawer decoration. This year was exceptionally fast; the Neo Hybrid on my Mini lasted less than a week.

CYRILL Color Brick case (Spigen) for the 12 Pro Max is a decent case with perfect buttons. Love the black case with the lime green buttons. It also comes with an extra set of grey buttons. The fit, feel and function of this case is fantastic. Has the exact same texture/feel of the Apple silicone cases. Correct cutouts and all.
Well worth the $15.99 Here are a couple low quality pics:

Wow! I was planning on putting the Sheath on my phone and being done with cases this year, but your pictures have got me re-thinking my plan. Does it add any noticeable bulk to the phone? I'm really liking everything about this case, even the very minimal branding by the camera cutout.

This is a fantastic case. Adds hardly any bulk at all to the phone. About the same as the Apple silicone and exact same texture with better buttons than the Apple. It's probably the best $15.99 case you will find.
The only con is the back will show some fingerprints but they wipe right off. Also it does not lay flat on it's back because of the protection rim around the cameras. There is a little branding on the one side of the case also.
I really like this case.

On paper the Sheath seems perfect for me, but this is something to keep in mind if it doesn’t work out. The branding on the camera bump is a lot less tacky than how Casetify does it.

Thanks for the pics. Just ordered one.

Holy crap you guys, just got my Bullstrap case. It is _gorgeous_. Like they made it out of _leather_ or something.

The Apple leather case is cheap nonsense by comparison. On hold with Apple now to convince them to let me return.
Will post photos later tonight.

Nice, looking forward to the pictures. Is the bottom open on this case?

Yes, and to me that’s a plus. Unlike last year’s Apple case, this has a lip on the back of the case that means (a) it rests on the charging dock instead of the bare phone, and (b) a drop has the chance of hitting that leather lip instead. Kinda hard to explain, will definitely show in photos later.

And the pinky is happier! The cutouts on the 12p Apple case were sharp enough that they rubbed, vs the smooth Bullstrap leather. It works, I’m tellin’ you it works.

oh, and swiping up is fun again...

Strange. Otterbox doesn’t even have that version of the defender listed on their website yet.

I loved the pursuit case on my iPhone XS.
Same. It was fairly thin, only slightly thicker than the symmetry, and was very tough. This is definitely one I’m going to look at further.

For sure here too. Looks like AT&T just posted it on their site about 7 hours ago. It’s literally the only site with info on it. Great find!
