That’s a good one. I usually dilute some rubbing alcohol with distilled water. For those who aren’t aware, Apple’s official stance is as follows:

Is it OK to use a disinfectant on my Apple product?
Using a 70 percent isopropyl alcohol wipe, 75 percent ethyl alcohol wipe, or Clorox Disinfecting Wipes, you may gently wipe the hard, nonporous surfaces of your Apple product, such as the display, keyboard, or other exterior surfaces.

I’ve found that even further diluted alcohol does the trick, and as Motionblurrr recommended, having some good dish soap diluted with distilled water is a great general purpose cleaner. In addition to phones, works great for most vehicle interiors. (Standard disclaimers of testing a small area first, YMMV, etc.)
Personally I wouldn’t use any alcohol as it could strip the oleophobic coating faster than light soap.

I think apple stated against using alcohol to clean iPhones before the pandemic but when the pandemic was at its peak, it was smarter to sacrifice the coating for having a disinfected iPhone.

I know that’s a concern for some folks, but I don’t think it has much (if any) impact on a quality oleophobic coating. Of course I can’t say for sure one way or the other, and it really comes down to preference. I use both quite often for different things 🤷‍♂️ Although now that I think about the only screens I wipe down with alcohol regularly are the iPhones of myself and my wife, and both have screen protectors, so I’m not touching the coating at all. Even better!

True, I forget that I don’t have a screen protector sometimes 😂

So Cal
So one thing I noticed today when actually talking on the phone (who even does that anymore, lol) was that the PR Gen 4 was more comfortable to hold vs. the Flex. So now I'm even more torn. I enjoyed running with the Flex yesterday, so today I'm running with the Rebel and we'll see.

One thing I noticed tho - I put on the buttons that I bought with the PR and the power button doesn't feel all that clicky. The volume buttons feel fine.
i noticed the same thing with the power button. the original black one was noticeably more clicky. the ultra orange feels stiff.

Somewhere!
The Bullstrap case looks very nice. The only negative for me as far as a possible purchase, is the fact that it is open at the bottom.
Yeah some people can’t adjust to the open bottom. I had an open bottom Carved live edge case and Bullstrap on my 12 pro max but seeing as I am extremely careful with my phone it was not an issue. Just returned my 12 and it was still like new.

Thanks

I think people need to step back and put away the “my phone needs to stay flawless to maximize resale value” mindset. The easiest and most efficient route nowadays is trading in through a carrier or Apple itself and neither give a **** if there’s a tiny nick in the stainless steel frame.

As long as you don’t smash your screen or twist the frame you’re gonna be fine.

I get your point. However, if my phone breaks, its a problem for me. I have AppleCare+ coverage on it, but I am on the road a lot for work. Never far, maybe 5 miles away at most as we dont deliver that far (I work as a delivery driver/sales persons for an auto parts store) but it is still an issue if I dont have it. I need to stay in contact with the shop while I am out, and I will need it in the event of a crash or other incident, which has already happened once. A few months after I started, I was rear ended. Incident need to reported right away as well as being able to collect any and all pertinent info. So sometimes, there is a more mundane reason for it than keeping it looking as nice as possible.

And for everyone else, just buy a case (hence this thread).

Ryan London. What’s in box 2 is a mystery since I only ordered one.

Getting some serious 2001 vibes. I’ve been waiting for this look since the iPhone 5s days.

Nice looking case, but I just can’t get past that open bottom or the open sides on some others. If i am going to put a case on my phone, I want it to be protected all around.

Anyone know whether Mous's Clarity 2.0 clear case is worth the $85 or not?

To each their own. The phone is gesture based and I like the open bottom for swiping up. I’ve never had a damaged bottom unless it was scratched from a lightning cable.
