Struggling to decide whether or not I want any case at all. I've had my 6S for two years with no case, except for an Amfilm screen protector. The body is certainly dinged up on all edges and a bit of specks on the back, but the screen is presumably fine (the protector has one or two cracks). Overall, it's survived. I hate cases in general.

It's just that I've been going down the YouTube drop test rabbit hole the last two days and jeez....

Does anyone know of a decent clear case that is open at the bottom, like the Apple Leather cases? They might just not exist, but wanted to see if anyone has more knowledge on the matter ;)
Already ordered a Forest Green case, but will likely want to switch it up and show off that amazing new Gold colour. thanks!

I got one when the X came out and the buttons were not amazing. However, I got a replacement one since a few weeks (due to the buttons) and those buttons are very clicky! The leather has a bit of a uniform color, but ages very nicely. It just gets nicer and nicer (if you like patina). The fit is amazing too.

Is it bulky? I placed an order for Mous but now I'm considering going with Nomad instead if the bulkiness is roughly equal.

These look really good. I had one last year and it was pretty bulky so I’m glad to see them slim it down by 33%. I also didn’t see a black version last year and I see that now. I’m not sure about this vs the speck presido pro though. Speck has amazing buttons but it’s so hard getting the phone in and out of the case. Nomad had ok buttons. Decisions....
Leather is just so nice to hold... ;)

I think the old Nomad Rugged was about as bulky as the Mous. This new Nomad Rugged is 33% slimmer, so I guess it’s slimmer now (not sure though).

I heartily recommend the Apple leather cases. Black is a great option if you don’t want to see the patina. The classic saddle brown is nice but shows wear, which is part of its charm. There are plenty of colors to choose from. The black one will not show much if any wear and the phone retains a very stealth beautiful look.

There’s enough wrap around on the bottom edges to protect from falls. I’ve dropped my phone a few times on hard sidewalk and asphalt and no damage to the phone. If you get little scratches you can usually rub them out. They fit excellent and the open bottom is nice because you can hold and feel the nice phone there while you use it making it feel like it’s a naked phone.

I even bought a Spigen metal magnetic plate and put up top to the right of the camera cut out on the inside. It works on my car magnetic mount and it’s high enough up I can still wirelessly charge my phone on my Ravpower qi charger. Love it.

I personally LOVE totallee's thin cases. Feels like no case at all but offers scratch and camera protection.

pretty average reviews on Amazon... what has your experience been with fit, grip, and "strength" of finish? What colors have you gotten previously?

Went with Spigen Tough Armor and a Zagg screen to start. That combo has saved my 8 Plus from many a fall, or potential scratch, in the past year. I will probably switch it up when there are more options, and reviews, but I’m definitely starting out with better safe than sorry.

Note that the border of the case around/over the front of the iPhone almost hits the screen. I read some reviews that complained about this...

Oh that’s good to know, I need the reachability on either size. It pretty much writes that case off. Boo.

For those who ordered gold Max any suggestions on cases that will still allow the color to show?
I’ve been searching myself and it has come down to the following contenders (in no particular order):

Spigen Liquid Crystal
Ringke Air
Caudabē Lucid Clear

If anyone has had experience with any of the above please let me know the pros and cons.

Does anyone know of a full protection case that includes a microfiber style liner (like the Apple leather ones)? I like the leather but would also like to have protection on the bottom of the phone. Also worried about dust getting in behind a standard case and scratching the phone (happened to me with the Caudabe thin case on my X). I guess I can be better about cleaning it out, but I do like that added protection from having a liner in the case.

Cape Cod Blue Leather Always use Apple's leather case even though I have drawer full of other brands from over the years. This year decided to spice it up with some color.

Came across a knockoff ElementCase on eBay so I thought I'd give it a try for the price. Had one from eBay for my iPhone 5 and it wasn't bad for what it was. Only thing about this one is that I can't find that name/style anywhere else online, but I'll see how it is when it gets here.

Check out the Nomad Rugged case! It has everything you want:
- Bottom protection (and 6ft drop protection)
- Microfiber inner liner
- Leather (brown or black)

Would you consider a skin like DBrand or Sick wraps?
