As an update:

I took advantage of the Ringke sale at amazon and got the Onyx for $4.50. Really pleasantly surprised. The fit is better than the Sheath, it just doesn't offer the same hand feel. The cutouts are correct for the max too.

However, my created symmetry from Zazzle will be here today, and that is going to be my daily case.

Does anybody make a tpu/clear case like the spigen liquid but with a black bumper and clear back? I am still looking for a possibly impossible case that is clear on the back but black on the sides and that won't scratch so no PC backs.

Yeah, a coupon code was required. I didn’t check carefully into the deal since I got a Ringke Fusion from the last deal, but sounds like try ran out of the codes pretty quickly this time.

I use the Totallee Clear case for the XS. They can be bought on Amazon. It has the correct XS cutouts, and fits perfectly IMO. It is light and pretty grippy. It's my favorite case when I don't need drop protection.

Got in the 3 cases from zazzle. It’s the typical symmetry (which is fine) but it has the image printed on the back. Excellent print quality. I’ll try and get some pics up

I use the Totallee Clear case for the XS. They can be bought on Amazon. It has the correct XS cutouts, and fits perfectly IMO. It is light and pretty grippy. It's my favorite case when I don't need drop protection.

The fit is perfect and it moulds around the corners, buttons and lightning port with great precision.

It’s slippery but it’s also very slim. It shows off the stainless steel edges and back.

I’ll be using this as my daily driver and keeping the Apple forest green for special occasions

Hi, which color are you waiting on? I swapped emails with Caudabe yesterday, and the only XS Sheath they have with the correct cutouts is the Black. I was told Blue doesn't even have an ETA now.

If you want a Navy Blue Sheath for the XS now, it will have the old speaker cutouts.

I was chatting with Caudabe through FB messenger about my order and they said/confirmed this: "Both the navy Sheath and grey Synthesis have symmetrical cutouts. The black Sheath, however, does have asymmetrical cutouts. If you'd like to do an exchange, feel free to let us know once you receive the products!"

Disappointing, but I'm not sure how much of a huge difference it will make to me. I've been using a Presidio Grip that has the symmetrical cutouts and I don't really notice. It bothers me more that the cutout for the mute button is off-center!

Yes! I love the Lucid clear. I don't care about the slipperiness. Have used these on many iPhones. They never yellow!

I’m enjoying my Element Rally been using it allot these days. I couldn’t stand my Caudabe Lucid Clear I doubt it would provide any drop perfection being a solid plastic piece with no TPU or cushion etc

There’s a very small lip around the front. It’s just level with the glass protector I have on.

The Caudabe Lucid Clear had my interest until I noticed the buttons are not covered. I'm going to give the Totallee Glossy Clear (Soft) one more chance, but I think I'm going to ultimately settle on the Pitaka MagCase by the end of the year. I mentioned before that I couldn't remember what was holding me back from the Nomad Rugged Case, but I think I remember the reason: from all of the pictures and videos I've seen, it looks like the cutout for the camera is slightly larger than the actual camera, so it'll be a dust trap.

My Loopy Max is made of 2 materials. Most of the side to the top of the side is some kind of harder rubber material. It feels slightly grippy to me. The bottom is a smooth plastic that's slippery (to me). Overall, the Loopy Max is light weight to me despite it being Loopy's heftier case. I'm guessing its the material of the case that makes it feel light weight. Loopy claims a 6 ft "military drop protection", so I'll just take them at their word. I do wish the case material has more texture to it than the smooth plastic in the back. If I don't use the loop, I do feel a bit paranoid about dropping the phone.

I do love the loop, but I also do swap back and forth between my Loopy Max and my Caudabe Sheath. If I ignore the loop, I do love the Sheath much more. Its thin, while still providing some protection. And the texture of the Sheath has more grip to me than the Loopy Max.

With the loop, I can hold the phone is many more secure ways than I can with normal cases. I don't bother wrapping my fingers around the Loopy Max and still feel like the phone is secure in my hands.

If I remember, in case you missed it..looks like the "carbon" version is still the same hard plastic..just with the carbon pattern. If you're really interested in the Loopy Max..go ahead and try it. It's just so different than other cases I've tried. And sounds like you're on the fence and am interested in trying it..so you'll always wonder about it. Just make sure you pick the correct handed version. If you pick the "Lefty" version, my advice is to reply to the purchase receipt email to remind them to send the lefty version. I got the right handed version by mistake even though I've specified in the notes section (I think their ordering system lost my note for the "lefty").

I went ahead and ordered the case for my XS Max. I love the loop, but not so crazy about the case. The backs OK, the corners look like they will help in a fall, but the side of the case is just not "grippy" enough to use without using the loop. Like you said the sides are a different material than the back and are less slippery, but I do not feel secure without the loop. I's say med to light grip protection. I am hoping like some cases, the side will develop a little more friction against my hand. The case does charge on my horizontal wireless charger and if you get it just right on my vertical wireless stand also, although the back sits a few inches from the charger back. It doesnt work with my car mount, the loop just gets to much in the way.

I am tossed if I am keeping it or not. I do love the loop and that makes up for the downfalls of the case,,,enough I'm not sure yet.

Replacement case arrived from Otterbox arrived recently, in the form of the Symmetry in black.

Yes, I know it's not the most exciting case, but I love it! Stealthy and thin. It's not exactly the grippiest case in the world and I would prefer more of a textured back like Magpul have on their cases, but the rubber sides help and I haven't had any issues with it so far.

This is streets ahead of their Statement series and I wish I had this from the beginning!

I guess it's personal preference. My Totallee clear case has more grip (which I like), than my Caudabe Sheath. I like my Sheath for other reasons (protection), but prefer the feel of the Totallee clear case.
