They’re running 20% off on their website now. I’ve looked around for a larger discount code. Can’t find one.
I actually just managed to find a voucher for eBay so got it from there for £15.

Hopefully eBay sell legit ones.

Alright I ordered a Caudabe Synthesis grey case for my XS Max. I had a 40% off code since I didn’t like the Lucid Clear I put on once. I’ve seen the complaints here about the Synthesis so if it’s scratched easily I’ll return it. Fingers crossed as I loved that case for my previous two generations of iPhone

would love to hear your experiences. mine was with the stealth black. maybe the frosted translucent "white back" of the gray will be less scratch prone (or at least hide them)?

I’ll let you know it shipped today so should have it early next week and I’m a rough user on Cases

Based on thadoggfather's recommendation, I bought the Dynex Ultrathin Case from Best Buy. I wound up buying both colors: black/semi-clear and clear. Each case cost $9.99. The case is very, very similar to the Totallee clear(soft) case except for the following differences:
1. The Totallee had individual hole cut-outs that lined up with the holes of the bottom speakers while the Dynex has two large (symmetrical) holes that might not be precise.
2. The Dynex has much better buttons. (Like much, much better!)

For those that are looking for a really thin case, this case is amazing. Like I mentioned, the buttons are phenomenal. The main issue I had with the Totallee is that the power button had good feedback but the volume buttons were very stiff. The buttons on the Dynex feel almost better than the Sheath. The fact that these cases are only $10 makes these even better.

Some things that people might not like:
1. Like most cases in this category, it's a fingerprint and smudge magnet.
2. The bottom speaker holes are symmetrical, and the left cut-out just barely covers the last speaker hole.
3. I've been staring at it for a few seconds, and I'm not entirely sure if the camera cut-out is perfect either.
4. The water streak marks are still present on the edges and corners (like when you get brand new plastic sleeves for baseball cards or comic books, and the pages are stuck to each other because they were packed tight).
5. There is no front lip (especially if you have a screen protector).
6. This goes without saying, but I highly doubt there's any drop protection.

I've attached pictures of the black/semi-clear version on my phone.

I finally got a Caudabe sheath through the post today for IPhone XS these are my first impressions.

1) The lip is a decent size in my opinion doesn’t need to be any bigger as it would effect functionality of swiping up.

2) The buttons definitely do not feel as tactile as some other cases. I am not really that bothered by this aspect however I know some people are more so then others.

3) I don’t think it’s as grippy as people make it out to be. It’s definitely got a better grip then some of the smoother cases but nowhere close to an Apple silicone case.

4) When the phone is flat on its back there is definitely a slight movement to the case due to the lip on the camera. This in my opinion is to be expected from a slim fit case due to the design of the phone.

5) I think the cut outs is where the case out performs many. They are spot on it feels like I have an apple phone case in that respect. Having inaccurate cut outs really bothers me especially around the camera. This case has definitely done a good job with that.

Overall I think it’s a quality case but I personally find it hard to justify a $25+ price tag. It’s definitely one of the nicer minimalistic phone cases out there.

Would be interesting to see how it holds up to a drop test. I do find that it provides a small cushion when placing it on hard surface that many other slim cases do not do. If it does infact withhold a 6 feet drop test I may consider the 25$ price tag to be more reasonable.

I received my Caudabe Synthesis. Buttons are clicky I do like them. The speaker holes aren’t properly done so that’s unfortunate as they don’t match the XS Max design. That’s unfortunate. I can honestly say the new Symmetry is a complete redesign and overhaul from the IPhone X design. The materials are totally different. I’ll have a complete rundown soon as I just put it on and can report back as to how bad it scratches per the previous reporting on this forum.

-They definitely used different TPU material on the outside borders matches the sheath setup with the x design for better grip.

-They retained the back side notch design to slightly raise it up to protect the camera so that’s good

If anyone has any questions please let me know until I post a formal review

Anyone ever try wallet cases? I’m gonna give it a try. I’m trying the Mous one since it seems to be the “smallest”.

They seem ok in practice, I just think as soon as you start to fill them up with cards they become to fat to close. I always have a bit of cash on me and nowhere to put loose change. I just end up carrying a wallet anyways.

Until we finally go cash free around the world I think they are only good for certain situations.

I have another reason why people might not like the Dynex Ultrathin Case from Best Buy: the cutout for the lightning cable is extremely sharp. I rest my phone on my pinky when I'm using it, so if you use the phone the same way, it can be very painful. I would compare the sharpness to when I purchase something that's in those secured plastic retail packages that can only be opened using a pair of scissors, and when I cut the package open, the edges are left really sharp.
I'm still keeping it since it's only $10, and I would still recommend it if you can look past the issues I've mentioned. I like its slim form factor and the button feedback.
I'm back in the Sheath (stop me if you've heard this story already!).

Thinking of getting the Saddle Brown case, but am tempted to get the new Forrest Green. What are your go-to cases whenever you order a new phone?

Since you are deciding between different colored cases, I would love some feedback on a product prototype: A clear cell phone case that has an LED feature to allow the user to select various colors whenever they want. For example, you could change your case color every day to coordinate with your outfit.

True forged carbon fiber case, light as air, thin as a skin. Trying to gauge interest... this thing is absolutely stunning, truly feels like a naked phone!

I’ve always had the Apple Leather Cases for every iPhone, since they were first introduced with the 5S.

Now, for my new iPhone X I couldn’t find the leather color I was looking for, but did find a midnight blue Silicone Case on sale, so decided to try it out.

Can’t i just say - It is AWESOME! I’m amazed by the feel.

I think I much prefer it over leather, never thought I’d say so.

I've been poking around for an Apple Leather Case for my XS Max, and I stumbled across a 50% discount from AT&T (here: https://www.att.com/cases/apple-leather-case-iphone-xs-max.html#sku=sku9201583). $24.50, and free shipping in the US. Only in saddle brown. Seems to be going in and out of stock, but it's orderable as I type this.

They had a similar “sale” a month or two ago. I think all the orders ended up getting canceled. Lame.

Hope you have better luck with this one. AT&T shouldn’t advertise items like this if they have no intention of fulfilling orders.

Yeah, thanks. I did read about a recent sale on some XS cases, which resulted in mass cancellations. But apparently some actually shipped. So I won't be surprised if my order gets cancelled, but I figure it's worth a shot.

Those who had success were mostly the ones who ordered for store pickup, or got another store like BB to price match.

Otherwise, it could rightly have been called a debacle.

Indeed, sounds like a mess. Somehow I've managed to avoid the same fate - I just received shipping confirmation from AT&T. Hopefully they shipped the right thing.

EDIT: still in stock at $24.50, if anyone else wants to give it a shot

One tip for any new case...Put it on, and leave it on for a few days, or up to a week. I mean, if you totally hate it, then take it off, but if it's border line...Put it on, and leave it on for a few days.

As my friend brought up, your brain and hands retain muscle memory over time. Just like with a case, it takes some time for you to adjust...How hard you need to grip it? What's the best way to pick it up...from the bottom, middle or top? How do I hold it, so it won't fall out of my hand? If you have used a case for awhile, you do all that instinctively...Then you throw a new case on and OMG! It's slippery! It has to much grip and sticks to everything! The buttons are weak, the buttons feel like they might fall off! The point is, give it some time...

As an example, I've been a Sheath user for a long time. I've tried a few, clear cases...Who doesn't want to see your phone? But they felt like cheap plastic, they looked like clear plastic wrapped around a phone, and the buttons were stiff and hard to press...That was after about a five minute evaluation...Off it went, Sheath back on....next! I recently went back and put the Ringke Fusion on my Max...out of the two or three clear cases I tried, I did like it the most...This time, I kept it on for a few days...And it's pretty nice! So much so, I went and ordered the Fusion in smoke black...figure that will mitigate the yellowing that happens on all TPU clear cases over time...Have to say, it's a sharp look on the phone! Translucent enough so you can still see the apple logo on the back...but dark enough, that it blends into the phone...And, if you want super clicky buttons, the Fusion rocks!

So now, I have two good cases to swap between...

So I used the Sheath pretty much exclusively during a week long trip as I felt it would provide more protection and easier to stay clean and wipe down than my other cases - less fuss. And you were absolutely correct - the Sheath kind of grew on me. I did need to just use it and get that muscle memory. It’s my favorite case right now.

I too prefer the feel of the silicone case, but with 2 dogs and 2 cats, hair and lint management becomes an issue. :-(

Even though I promised myself I wouldn't buy any more cases I couldn't resist an ebay sale and just bought an element illusion case and a speck grip for a total of $15. If I don't like them I'll probably just resell them here.
