Thanks for the review. I'm back in the Sheath right now, but I don't know why I can't be happy with it.

Is the Caudabe Sheath too plain?

I've been using the Sheath as my daily case but do switch from time to time to my clear case. The Sheath is a bit boring to me..but it gets the job done.

I think there's something wrong with me. In the last month or so, I sold a majority of my cases because I convinced myself that all I needed was the Sheath or the Apple Leather Case. I have since re-bought the Totallee Clear (Soft) and Pitaka MagCase.

I don't know what it is. Maybe you're right - it's too plain. But my favorite color is black, so one would think this is the perfect case for me. What's not to like? I like black, I like the buttons, I like the feel, I like that it's thin and there's hardly any lip, and I like that the speaker cut out is asymmetrical. I feel like Willie Conway in Beautiful Girls describing his girlfriend as a seven and a half.

I know what you mean. By all indications that should be my favorite as well. I just can never leave it on my phone.

Great movie reference btw

Tried the evutec?

Which clear case?

I have the the Ringke Fusion. Nothing spectacular. Its the rubber side with hard plastic on the back. Grip really depends on how my hands are. The sides haven't yellowed at all and I've had it since launch of the XR. Buttons are responsive. One nice thing I didn't notice till much later is the top and bottom lips are raised slightly higher than the sides. There's 4 nubs on the back of the case so when placed face down, it doesn't touch the table. To me, its a really well designed clear case.

I found this clear case a while back but never picked it up. Was wondering if the sides have texture (like my old Zoogue/Zugu case for the iphone 6)... But I can't tell if the texture is on the outside of the case or the inside to help with drop protecture. If so, I'd be tempted to pick it up to see if it helps with grip.

I bought the Pitaka again because I'm trying to convince myself that this will be my final case. I originally sold it because the case is so thin, it felt like a dull knife resting against my pinky finger and it eventually started to hurt (I rest my phone on my pinky finger while I'm using it and it would turn purple). But I think I can deal with it the second time around (or maybe learn to hold it differently).

Tried the evutec?
I really want to try it, but I think it's too late for me. I'm trying to avoid buying cases that are similar to cases I already own, and from what I've been reading, the Evutec seems like a slightly thicker version of the Sheath.

Just received my evutec.

it’s not a bad case at all, pretty good protection and quite slim.

but after having the pitaka and all its slimness for the last 8 months there is no way I can say I like the evutec more. However, it’s only day 1 so I’ll give it some time to grow on me.

I've been using the Plasma too and love it.

Went for extra protection after knocking my phone off the bedside unit and destroying the super thin scratch only protection case it was wearing.

The Plasma in red looks great, especially in sunlight.
just rip the silicone off the plastic
****** quality

Recently returned from a three week trip that involved lots of photos, tap payments, boarding pass/ticket/security checks, and other phone handling activity.

First step in keeping a phone safe is not dropping it, and the Speck Presidio Grip did yeoman's duty as my "active/rugged" case.

Now, after returning to a more sedate pace, the daily driver folio goes back on.

I really want to get a sheath but it’s sold out everywhere in Australia WTH:((((

While I was in the Apple store the other day, I noticed the OtterBox Traction series. The colors are pretty nice in person. I was tempted to buy one, but I'm glad I didn't. I read and watched reviews saying that the buttons are stiff. But, damn, they look pretty great in person. I particularly liked the black one.
It has a really nice grip. If you're looking for a case with a nice grip, this case felt great in the hands. It has a really nice grip. If you're looking for a case with a nice grip, this case felt great in the hands. I read a review (I forgot where) that compared the grip to a tire, and that's an accurate description.

I’ll have to add this case to my list. The colors are beautiful, and I love how the color of your phone will still be shown through the back.

I agree about the colors. Granted there aren't a lot to choose from, but this is one of those cases that looks good in all of the colors offered.

The grip really is an underrated case imo. I used mine a lot while in Disney.

I've made it a part of the arsenal for my last three phones. It's even better when it can be found discounted, which isn't hard if one isn't picky about having to have a particular color.

I like it enough to consider paying closer to full price. The quality of the fit and finish is still very good, regardless of the price.

I caved and wound up purchasing an Evutec. However, I bought the Northill series as I didn't like the branding on the back of the AER and how it's a fingerprint magnet. I'm hoping I like the top portion of the case better in person because the pictures I've seen kind of make it look cheap. I'm also hoping the buttons on the Northill are as good as people claim the AER's buttons are.
