Which case will you be getting for your new XS/XS Max? [MERGED]

Hello,

I want to ask you if the case has a magnet to keep it shut. Is it strong enough? Would the font of the case open if the iPhone would fall face down?

I’m waiting on my Element Illusion case I’ll use for traveling and I’ll rock the Apple leather case around the house or town. I also have UAG Monarch if I get paranoid lol so not putting all my eggs in the Apple leather basket but after the show and tell he gave me I can see there could be something to his claim with the raised lips on the front and back camera and the fact they’re standing behind thier case with the warranty. I also have the Apple Care+ lost and theft coverage so I guess we’ll find out one way or another

Ps: I go back for work next week I’ll stop back over and run what he told me past the store reps and give you all a report back to continue the investigation! Stay tuned lol

If you go by an Apple store today tell them that story I posted please and see what kind of intel you get? I’m going by a store in Colorado today to trade in my series 2 and series 3 watches for gift cards and I’ll do the same I’ll let you know :) let’s say it’s a sham.. another person posted here about dropping thier X at 6 feet and it survived! There could be something to this in a pill commercial kinda way! Regardless I love I can use my Max one handed with the case and it feels really nice lol good luck keep me posted

Caudabe sheath just arrived at my house. I went out of town this morning! Can’t get it until Friday night. :eek: First world problems I know. I’m enjoying the Apple silicone in the meantime though. Very thin, great texture and of course the gestures feel great. I can swipe as recklessly as I like.

I was always a user of the apple leather cases until I finally broke a screen with one. It dropped about 5 feet onto the floor in walmart and my screen shattered on my last iPhone

Don’t forget...this is the “most durable glass on a phone EVER”. ;)

I’ve seen quite a few YouTube drop tests with varying results. Both are likely exceptionally durable, but I will acknowledge there is certainly a level of luck involved.
 
Hello! I'm looking for a iPhone XS Folio Leather Case with a strap. I just want to be sure that the case stays shut. I know most magnets aren't strong enough. Could anyone recommend me one if possible.

I have tech 21 IPXS Max Tech Smokey Blk Check.

It's Black on the edge, smoky clear on the back, raised bevel protecting the screen when laid face down. It's fairly grippy. My only knock is the buttons need extra pressure to click which I'm sure will break-in eventually.
 
UAG Monarch, have a Black Apple leather too i got for free but the phone just decent feel solid in it like the UAG.

I had a 7 plus with a Apple leather fall out of my car holder and hit the seat rail and dinted the bottom, so it can happen.

Which do you like better, the silicone or the leather?
 
I got my solid suit yesterday and it's made me change my mind about the mous, I may end up returning the Mous now. The solid suit is a little slick still but no more so than the mous, and it has less of a lip at the bottom so it doesn't interfere as much with swiping up as the Mous lip does. It's still enough that even with a screen protector it is above the screen but not so much as to feel annoying.

My tally so far:
1. apple leather case = nice but slick, possibly sending it back in favor of a sena leather case that hasn't even shipped yet
2. caudabe sheath - a keeper, slim, good grip, all around good
3. catalyst impact - not bad but sent back because I'm concerned about the camera
4. spigen hybrid - sent back, just average
5. caseology legion - not bad, a little bulky but I'm keeping because it was only $3
6. mous 2.0 - good but the lip at the bottom is pretty high and after using the sheath and solid suit the mous lip just feels excessive and uncomfortable. IMO not worth anywhere near $60, will probably send back
7. Evolutive Labs Solidsuit - very good, slick sides but solid and the lip is small enough not to be in the way. I did add some traction tape to the sides, makes holding it much easier but blends in pretty well

On the way but don't know when: EvoLabs ModNX, Element Shadow and Sena Leather
