I am probably going to get the Tough Armor from Spigen just for that kickstand. I am lazy and I take a lot of flights for work. I want to just prop that b*tch up on the tray in front of me when I watch movies instead of having to hold it.

Does anyone know of any other good kickstand cases that they recommend?

I sprung for the forest green for my XS max. Yes, it will get a patina and wear a little on the corners, but that is okay. The silicone ones chip after awhile, so there really isn’t any winning here. I like the fit and slimness of the apple cases so I will continue getting those.

I just bought an OEM Apple Leather Case (brown) from Ebay for $7 that is coming from China. I haven't decided whether I will use the case (I like Apple's leather cases a lot) or just go naked. I'll try it both ways.

Midnight Blue leather from Apple. Just to stop it slipping as much, and keep it pristine so I can sell it back and get next year's model for at least half price.

I personally LOVE totallee's thin cases. Feels like no case at all but offers scratch and camera protection.

I’ve always been a fan of the Incipio NGP. It’s made of TPU and not too bulky and fits the phone snugly. The buttons have a good feel too. It’s also semi-translucent so you can still see the back of the phone. It’s normally $19.99 with free shipping but if you use the code AFF151 they’ll take off 15%.

What do you all think for the Xs Max Gold? Stone Sillicone or Taupe Leather? Leaning Taupe personally.

Brown Saddle Leather is a possibility but I've already done that with Gold before.

Going with just a decal on the back because I don't drop phones. Unless someone can recommend an absolute ridiculously thin case that isn't silicone.

Went with a Black Otterbox Defender Pro + the Alpha Glass Protector on their website. 2 day delivery to have by launch and here we are $120 later....

Ordered the Apple Saddle Brown last night with my preorder. Same case I have been using since 6+. This will be my third one since each before was good for two phones.

I dont know what it is about the spigen tough armor case but it feels so good in my hand. I have the apple leather case also and I dont use it. ordered a new one for my max already.

I had this for the 7/8 plus.
Works great, but BULKY. keep that in mind. Think otterbox defender type bulk. (maybe a little thinner)
Made the volume buttons harder to press also. Quit using it when I got the 8 Plus due to the phone being a tiny bit bigger and the buttons became even worse to use. Could always buy one of those cheap phone stands that you set the phone on. I have had 2 kickstand type cases in the past. the Spigen worked just fine, the other one... broke in about a month.

I went with the Spigen Rugged Armor for my Max, I loved my X-Doria defense for my 7 Plus (8 Plus was too big and didn't allow the volume up to work anymore, and a super tight fit) So will be looking at that down the road, but since I only wireless charge anymore i'm thinking of getting away from any case that has any metal in it.

Almost always went naked for most of my iPhones. I carried my iPhone 7 for 2 years with one of these:

I actually went through 2, but the second one was sold to me for $.99 after the first broke. The second finally broke about a month ago. Overall I was pretty happy with it, although it could have been more durable.

That being said, for the price of the iPhone Xs...I think I'm going to have to hold on to it for up to 3 years to justify the price. That means taking better care of it...which means a real case.

I noticed one person mention Loopy Cases. Anyone else have experience with them or similar cases? How do they affect wireless charging? (…which will also need to get to charge my Xs, wife's Xr, & her Apple Watch.)

I don't think they will work for wireless charging . As far as I'm concerned , for now , I'll go on charging with a cable .

Any recommendations on a case that’s similar to speck prosedio grip? I love the speck cases but would like something clear or smoke colored, with rubber grip.
