View attachment 800090 View attachment 800091 View attachment 800092 View attachment 800093 After a few days I’ve decided this is my go to case for my XS max. Evotec AER Karbon.

Pros:
- grippy sides
- tight fit on phone but easy to remove
- feels sturdy but not too bulky
- camera bump is nice
Cons:
- sometimes gets fingerprints if I’m extra oily but not that bad
- the magnetic mount it came with only sticks to car vents so I don’t really use it (could be a pro for some but not for me)

Nice, Blaine’s favorite

Bought another Sheath. Lol I’m a mess. Here’s the discount code that I used if anyone is interested

What is the plug in the charge port, did it come with the case because my case did not include one

Without me buying both the sheath and veil xt, have you or has anyone else tried both that would like to chime in on the difference between the 2. I may just buy both.

I read somewhere that the XT doesn’t have a lip protecting the scream. The sheath, which I have, is my favorite after trying several other cases. I scuffed the sides and smoothed the ridge on the bottom, now it’s perfect. Search my screen name for pictures and explanations if you’re interested.

I haven’t tried the veil but it’s just like those other super thin skin type of cases. Like peel and totalee. No drop protection or screen protection. For scratches only. It’s a hard shell. Sheath has a lip and drop protection because of the shock absorbing rubber.

I just got the sena dean leather case and it’s very nice, equal or better than the apple leather. It’s a darker color than the apple saddle brown case and the leather is more textured and has a nicer, softer and more gripping feel to it. I am undecided whether im going to keep my apple leather case or return it but I’m definitely keeping this sena.

So far the only protective case I’ve kept is the solidsuit. I don’t take it off every day, more like every week or so. Nothing else has buttons as good with the fit like it does, zero sag or flex at any part of it. Sorry I sound like I work for them, I m just surprised they aren’t more popular.

I'm quoting my own post, I spoke too soon about the Sena. I didn't realize until just now, the lip is not uniform around the entire front. It gets lower as you go down toward the bottom and there isn't a lip at all at the bottom, so if I dropped it at an angle the screen and phone would hit first. I'm surprised it's like that, it's so nice in every other way but that's a big issue. Sena actually promotes this case as "drop safe" but it's not. Guess this one is going back and I'll be keeping the apple leather, at least with that one it has a uniform lip and will protect from most drops.

EDIT: I just want to add that Sena's customer service is excellent. They responded within hours of me requesting a return and supplied the return label. Really wish this case worked for me because otherwise they are a great company.

So I’ve been using this diztronic for a while now. It’s grown on me. I really like how thin and light it is. I hope I’ll like the Sheath better but for now I’m keeping this one.

Sena has it listed at 3’ drop protection I believe. I was looking at one of their walletskins thag was listed at that. But the open bottoms scares me. I wanted the Burkley leather case with similar form factor but it’s open and top and bottom and that scares me more.

Evutec Aer Karbon is the winner for me yet again. Had it on the 6, 6+, 7+ and it is almost perfect. Unfortunately they don't seem to have one explicitly for the Xs so here are some pics of the X version on my Xs. Hopefully they make one specifically for the Xs soon! Bottom cutouts obviously are one of the only differences, Xs Max camera bumpout looks a bit larger as well.

Screen protector is the iCarez 3D, $9/ea on Amazon. It's also the best I've tried by far, looks WAY better than the ones with notches.

Does the camera rub at all?

I noticed looking at a few reviews online that it doesn’t cover the volume & power buttons with older versions. Is that the case with the new version?

I saw several online reviews or YouTubes that made some look like a minimal clip on case similar to the Pitaka MagCase (not the pro) but the pics of the armor series and even the regular ones appear to have full surround cases now. The armor has some lines or something on the sides for grip and the regular appears to have a crosshatching to provide grip.
