I'm worried that the Sport model will be more prone to scratches/marks due to the aluminum. I'll likely go with the Standard and a classic buckle.

Definitely the space black. But it seems to only come with the stainless steel for some reason?

On the Sport there is Space Gray that is anodized aluminum. Probably about the same finish as the iPhone/iPads but also probably much less expensive than the SS Watch.

Apple Watch, 38mm.

Keeping it small and basic. I just want the Watch, I'm not after a big fancy version. They'll be hard to get anyway, I don't want to ruin my chances of getting one. I imagine them being as popular or more than the iPhone with it being a brand new product line.

If everything aligns correctly,

Stainless Steel | Milanese Loop | <$450 I'm in for that one as said above.

Also, I'm willing to wait on line, so if they do a 6pm launch like they did for the original iPhone, I'll be waiting. If they do a 8am launch, I'll get there as early as I can :).

I'm hoping that both the Stainless Steel and the Sport version start at $350 with the bands costing different amounts.

I'm getting this model.. if it ever comes out

Also it doesn't get sapphire, but ion-exchange glass instead. Which is a shame because i prefer the look of the sport one the most, with a green sport band. Good news is that it will probably be the cheapest though!

While there is much debate over how much more the Watch will be than the Sport, it is universally accepted the Watch with more premium materials will be more.

Yea, I understand. I would pay $100 more max I think. If not, it's sport for me. I don't care LOL. I gotta have one hahahaha.

We will see what Apple decides. No one knows but them :)

Won't happen.

Yes, I now realize that bottom statement is completely incorrect.

However, I'm still hoping the stainless steel w/ Milanese loop is between $450-$499. Otherwise I'm getting the sport, I guess.

Yeah that will be a good price.
I would also opt for the sport probably because I don't want an outdated watch in two years.

Space grey stainless steel model with the midnight blue leather band and the space grey metal band.

I wish the 42 mm yellow gold had a blue band with modern buckle as opposed to the classic buckle

I'm thinking about getting the Apple Watch, i'm not really a sporty person so i don't think that on will be for me.However i'm always on the go throughout the day, so i will need the watch to be durable.
The one thing i'm wondering is will we be able to by extra straps? either at the time of purchase or after? For example in the day i might want to wear the leather strap, but on a night out, i might want to wear the metal one.

Apple will all but certainly sell all bands separately too. Also 3ed party bands are already available and will likely proliferate by launch.

That would be good news, people like to swap bands around on watches. It will be interesting to see the prices they set for them sold separately.

How do you know what it comes with? I was under the impression you would be able to pick the band you want but just pay extra for the more permium bands.

We don't know 100% for sure but the Apple website only shows the 42mm with Classic and the 38mm with Modern.

While you will probably be able to buy any band and use on any aWatch, you can't put a 38mm band on a 42mm aWatch.

It's a first generation device, so it's a no go for me. There's nothing on it to justify the price tag. There's already better devices out there for a lot less. When the 2nd generation comes out I'll think about it depending on features. If they expect people to upgrade this thing yearly they are in for a rude awaking as well. Even every 2 years is crazy, again the price tag is just way to high.

The Sport is ½ the price of an iPhone and we upgrade them every couple of years.
