Finished Bill & Ted. Now watching Biohackers. Release was pushed back a few months after the pandemic started, because Netflix thought the content would be disturbing if the "real thing" is happing outside.

First season was great and while I'm still liking it now (just started season 3), it's definitely getting stranger. Shame I can remember the very last episode.
That's what I felt like before I started rewatching it a while ago. I watched Lost when it originally aired and loved it only to think that it was a mess at the end. After rewatching it, it's perfectly fine and everything makes sense. You get a finished storyline for every single character and that was always the plan for the series. It's just that most people, including myself, wanted all the secrets of the island. You don't get that, but as far as the main characters go, pretty much everything is resolved. If you accept that, you'll be totally fine.

From what I can remember (which isn't a great deal), the writers seemed to get "Lost" and didn't really know where they were going as it went on.
That's the case for pretty much every TV show. You have a basic idea where you're going and the rest is done in the writer rooms, through the whole series, not just in the beginning.

Here's a little bit of trivia about Lost: The writers didn't think that the show wouldn't make it past the first 13 episodes so they made it up as they went along and were convinced that they would never actually have to explain any of it.....and that's why we got smoke monsters, polar bears, etc. I read that several years ago and don't know if it's completely true, but it certainly explains a lot.
That's a myth. They had the main storyline plotted for the characters. In fact, they wrote the ending in the church in the very beginning of the series. They just added the characters that were introduced later in the show. But the whole thing was always set to end this way. As I wrote above, it's just that people were more interested in the secrets of the island than the characters.

And yes, during such a long run, you'll have changes here and there which you didn't expect. For example, Michelle Rodrigues and Dominic Monaghan were such as*$s behind the scenes, they had to kill their characters. And Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje didn't want to work on Hawaii anymore, so he asked for his character to be killed.

The sad part is that once it became a hit early on they started saying they had the story all worked out and that it wouldn't just be something hand-wavy and mostly just explained through some sort of magic. And then it turned out that it was all basically the opposite of all that.

Disney+ managed to be available in my country, and with that, also come the Fox contents. So I’m watching The Orville. Surprisingly very entertaining, mixing classic Star Trek with a bit of Galaxy Quest. Loving it so far.

Hated the way Merlin finished. But a great show.

My wife wanted a more "Hollywood" ending but, except for the final few seconds, this ending is in keeping with the various Arthurian legends that I have read ("Le Morte d'Arthur" for example). But let's not argue over who killed whom...:p

Fargo does nothing for me so far. Very different from the seasons before. It has these Godfather/Goodfellas/Mafia vibes and if nothing changes, they should have just made a new series. In the end, I'm pretty sure they'll connect a few characters to previous seasons somehow.

Couple weekends ago I was ready to break down and purchase season 7 of The Blacklist. That morning I happened to notice The Blacklist was trending on Netflix on the USA. I found this odd and clicked on it to find out that Season 7 had been released.

I’m up to episode 8.

Just finished the "Criminal: UK" series (as well as the series for Germany and France) on Netflix.

An interesting, and generally well-done concept. I like the minimalist setting, conducted just in the confines of a police interview room and its immediate surroundings. As a result you focus, almost exclusively, on the actors, their expressions, and the dialog. Interesting the compare the differences between procedures and rules in different countries.

A good series. But after watching it, my takeaway is still this: Don't talk to the police. Not just "even if you are innocent." Especially if you are innocent.

Hopefully folks have seen the first 2 seasons of Cobra Kai. And it looks like Netflix thinks it's so good (including Season 3,) that they have already renewed it for a 4th season:

And, here is another trailer which states that Season 3 will premiere on January 8th:

I wonder if Ali (Elizabeth Shue) is returning. That would definitely be an interesting twist. There is even speculation that she could operate on Miguel.

I wonder why January, the series was ready months ago. It probably has to do with marketing.
Can't wait for this!
