The King of Queens is a classic. The cast was awesome, and it was really an enjoyable show to watch (until the last few episodes of the final season when the story got a bit wonky).

Jerry Stiller made that show... his character was the perfect compliment to Kevin James, Leah Remini and the rest of the cast.

Jerry's wife, Anne Meara played Spence's mother, Veronica Ulchin, and their daughter Amy (Ben Stiller's older sister) played several roles, too. She was the video store clerk in one episode, the coffee shop employee in several and other random roles, too.

Also, Gary Valentine, who plays Doug's cousin Danny is actually Kevin James' brother.
Yeah. I was surprised. It's so much fun. The entire cast are great comedic actors.

Started off my weekend by watching the s2 finale of Ted Lasso tonight. Great episode! Though now I am hoping time will continue to fly by so fast that s3 will be here before we know it.

Afterwards, ended up binging Squid Games after hearing all the hype …🤯 Just WOW. I still have a few more episodes to watch but I think it’s worth the hype.

I fell for the Paramount+ bundle with Showtime and local (well, regional for us boondocks dwellers) live TV. The $130 annual hit for the premium no-ads option seemed fair to me. So I might finally catch up on at least a few of series originally carried by CBS that assorted friends kept recommending to me after I chose to cut the cable TV cord back in 2004.

Heh, yeah it could look like I am engaging in voodoo math by pretending that an annual billing doesn't affect my monthly budget. But I use a worksheet to plan my billpays so I do set aside reserves to cover stuff like annual subscriptions. Not sure my grandma would have thought that an annual payout for movies qualified for use of "rainy day" money, but she was the one told me it never hurts to have some flex in the household accounts. Let it rain, Paramount+ is covered!

“The Billion Dollar Code” on Netflix. A bit of computer history based on a true story. 4 episodes about 1h each. It’s telling the story of Terra Vision and how it was stolen by Google to later become Google Earth. It’s a German production, very well done with good acting and great story telling.

Anyone who enjoyed “Halt and Catch Fire” will probably like this as well. Highly recommended.

Just starting “Person of Interest” on prime TV - 5 episodes in (season 1) and so far I like it
- looks like 5 seasons more - so it could keep me busy fo a while 👍

That sounds really good. Time to get a month of Netflix.

Just started watching Marco Polo on Netflix. Also Season 8 of Endeavour on BBC.

I agree with previous posters that Goliath Season 4 went down the pan.

I don't get why so many like Squid Game - I watched it all through, but didn't think it was all that brilliant. Not rubbish, but just don't get the hype. I found it pretty average.....

I know I don't think it is brilliant, but it is pretty insane on what they have these folks do. I don't think it is original either.

Murder She Wrote
Amazing show that ran over 10 seasons with the perfect amount of formula. Angela Lansbury didn't age the whole time.
Towards the end it got a little tired with Jessica always being able to dupe the guilty into admitting their crimes, but we happily watched it for years.

Up noth heyah, if you stop and ask directions of certain locals, they'll point you in the direction of the fictional Cabot Cove. That's just how much they appreciate your visit. Tom Bosley's terrible accent still gets mentioned in conversations all these years later.

clickbait is worth the watch, starts off in one direction ends in another. It's a great butterfly effect show.

You’re definitely not alone in that assessment - it was ok but nothing brilliant in my opinion. Rewatch factor is close to zero for me.

Just started "In the Heat of the Night" and so far am impressed. I always thought of Carroll O'Connor as a commedian from All in the Family days, but this is completely different.

Going back a ways with this one. I used to watch this with my father... I haven't seen it since, but from what I remember it was a good show.

You will be impressed with this show. In this show, O'Connor is the complete opposite of the worst that he has ever done as Archie Bunker. It won him quite a few NAACP awards.

In fact, this show made syndication and it is still on today, after having been off the air since around 1995. Funnily enough, given some race relations going on in the US now, this show could easily be apropos to today's society.

BL.

Midnight Mass (Netflix)
I binged this yesterday during a long rainy day.

While a little on the long-winded side, I thought this was an amazing series with
possibly the most unique take on the vampire mythos that I've ever seen.
One character's speech on the nature of life, death, and the universe was one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard.
