Nice, I'll check them out!

I went super low budget on my first prime and got this "Meike" 25mm 1.8 for 75 bucks on amazon. It's manual focus and aperture... But it's built from solid metal and feels really good, and the photos are very sharp. I like it! I'm somewhat new to photography though it might not be as good as I think it is lol. Photos definitely have something special going on compared to the 18-55 that came with my camera though.

Yeah, its better than a lot of kit lenses, but nothing special. The Viltrox are nice. All metal, nice smooth aperture and focus rings, all less than $400. I think I got the 23 on sale for $279. Fast focus and great for video.

After watching the first videos today, the 12 appears to be quite a lot bigger than the X/XS/11 Pro. I'm leaning towards the 12 mini again.

I was all in on the blue mini, but after watching a bunch of reviews...I dunno. Sometimes it looks great, sometimes it looks awful.

Guess I’ll wait until my friends get their blue phones this Friday and see for myself.

The 12 is almost the exact same size as the 11 Pro. It’s 2mm taller, the same width, and a decent amount thinner and lighter.

It’s slightly more than 2mm, more like 5-6mm judging by the side by side pics. Although the official dimensions do say 2mm which is bizarre.

Now I’m not sure what to do..

I don't know, I find that hard to believe after watching the videos. It looks a lot bigger than the 11 Pro, and not that much smaller than the 11. Which makes sense, since its still a 6.1" display vs 5.8".

I'm going to have a look at it in store this Friday, but the mini looks much, much more appealing right now.

My ESR case for the 12 is pretty much the same size as the ones for my 11. Maybe a tiny bit smaller.

Haven’t watched that video, but it’s clear from the thumbnail that it’s a dummy unit, which means there’s a chance that the measurements aren’t accurate.

I can tell you from the cases that I have and have posted here previously, that the height difference between the 12/Pro and the 11 Pro is not that much.

It’s slightly more than 2mm, more like 5-6mm judging by the side by side pics. Although the official dimensions do say 2mm which is bizarre.

Yeah, I was thinking of going with the blue 12 mini but it looks very cheap and plasticky in the reviews that are coming out - so now I'm debating between white and black.

Same here, not liking the new photos, though it looks great in the YouTube screenshot in the post right above yours

I was 100% on the mini but today ordered the 12 (black) on Amazon.

I used to like the 5,8 screen of the 11P, and the 12 is lighter and thinner, so maybe is a better feeling on hand ... I´ll keep it until the Mini arrives and then I´ll decide.

For all my obsessive consumption of iPhone material, I still haven’t narrowed down my color options. Blue, white and black are still on the table for me.

I’d also have to see how the regulatory markings (sigh EU) look for each one.

Measurements are on the comparison section of Apple's website.

12 Pro is 146.7mm tall vs 11 Pro at 144.0mm and the regular 11 at 150.9mm
12 Pro is 71.5mm wide vs 11 Pro at 71.4mm and the regular 11 at 75.7mm
12 Pro is 7.4mm in thickness vs 11 Pro at 8.1mm and the regular 11 at 8.3mm

It really isn't much bigger than the 11 Pro at all, certainly not enough in daily usage or within a case, and is substantially smaller than the regular 11 is. The display is pretty much the whole phone as you look at it, with smaller bezels and no sides visible due to the flat/square design. It looks like it's bigger than it is in videos, but once you get a chance to hold/use one I'm pretty sure you'll be fine with the size.
