Yeah- above 50% brightness the flicker is very similar on the mini and 12pro. But below 50%, mini is definitely worse.

How are you planning to cope with the small display mode? That's the part that is putting me off, it's really small specially when scrolling
Black but I put it in a leather portfolio case so color really doesn't matter much.
ATM I am planning to switch between the 2 modes with either small or bigger text size and wait what will fit my needs best. I don't have a lot of apps installed, mostly web when I don't need apps for widgets or notifications. And in Safari you can change the size. But that is really one thing I have no idea about atm. I mean standard mode is really cool, you can see so much stuff with it, I guess similar to the normal 6.1 inch. But it really is small, and unfortunately Zoom mode is the exact opposite, so big you have to be 80-90% blind not to see it. No offense, it maybe be perfect for some. I guess I will stick with normal mode and use the text size settings in apps and safari. But I am not 100% sure atm.
But at least they have two modes to choose from.
Going ceaseless with mine, but I did install a protective front glass (even though I have AC+).
I am also considering installing something thin on the back, specially for the cameras. Anyone have any suggestions for thin and clear protective back glass?

On a separate note, ordered the phone from Amazon. Delivery box came with a massive dent in the side, appears to have been crushed or something. No damage to the phone box. However, the phone was very cold and had some moisture on it. All seems to be working fine though- would this be something of concern?

I have enjoyed the weekend with my Green Mini. What a pleasure for one handed use and the 5.4 inch screen is perfect for me. I am going case-less. Coming from the SE 2020 it feels smaller in hand but I get more real estate on the phone. The battery is solid. so far it seems to last a little bit longer than the SE battery but I have a charger in the car and I work from home so I do not even worry about battery anyway. Best of luck to all!
After a few more days of usage, the weight is so good. I don’t feel like I have a brick in my pocket, and I don’t have the feeling of the phone digging into my leg.
What made you decide on the black over the blue in the end?

I think the blue is hands down better looking. It's the first blue colour this year and looks so much better than the boring black.
I originally had a 12 but exchanged it when the minis were released. Both were white. If the pacific blue was available I would have bought it in a New York minute, but the shade the minis use seemed too strong for me.
The white is gorgeous but it definitely has a slight pink/red cast to it that is more noticeable when the phone is in low light.
I love the size and vacillate between using a case (a soft/hard ESR) and going without. It’s a little easier to hold with a case but looks damn fine without on.

The SE 2020 is the best option this year I think; the Mini is good but the lock screen swipe issue is really annoying. And it's expensive, is mini but not cheap...
6.1 12 is really good too, I was surprised how good feels in hand compared to the 11Pro, I think is the weight and its balance. Is a good step foward compared to 11P, but is a big phone, of course, and also expensive.
The SE cost half the price, and the LCD is always better on my eyes; plus Touch ID is way better in this pandemic we are immerse on.

Swipe issue seems to happen mostly when both a screen protector and a case are both added to the phone.
Usually if you just have one without the other, it seems to work OK. Hopefully it is just a software glitch. But I am holding off for the time being until a fix can be determined.

Yes I know, but on a 850€ phone I can´t accept that, or the use of a tape to make contact... absurd.
Could you accept that there might be an easy software fix? Not saying there will be, but it's too early to say how big this problem will turn out to be.

The colors on this year's 12 just doesn't make any sense. There seems to be no cohesion amongst the colors, except for perhaps the 12 pro series (at least the colors on the metals transition from one to another).
This is why I think if I were getting a mini (which I'm not- I'm buying the 12 pro max in gold). I'd be going for the mint green because it's so out there, it's in a world of its own. Totally unpredictable, but totally beautiful.
A lot of hassle. Seems to be working okay and no noticeable issues- am just asking if there is anything obvious that may affect in the future, or if this is within the tolerances of the iPhone.
