Ok. So 5 days later and I've just sold my iPhone 12 Pro.
I'm just so in love with the Mini.
I enjoy using my phone one handed and the size and weight of it makes it so convenience.

With regards to battery life, no it doesn't compare to the bigger phones, but it's in no way bad and given that I plug my phone to Apple Carplay, it means it's charging while I'm about in the car and the juice I get from that charge is enough for me to run the Mini all day.

Count me satisfied
Interesting! I'm in the same boat right now, considering returning my 12 pro and going with my Mini. Main concerns are if I'll miss the telephoto and better battery of the pro, but I love the form factor and weight of the mini.

Easy decision for you, go with what you enjoy and feel comfortable using and learn to live with its compromises.
Battery life for example can be sorted by seldom top ups here and there should you need (or battery pack).
Telephoto camera is easily replaced with pinch to zoom. I know it's not the same but you'd be surprised by the results.

Face ID will get better the more you use it. If not, try re scanning your face and try for at least one scan making an angle similar to what you present when you look at your phone when you wake up.
I did this and it's better, but when I rescanned in the lying down position, I had my cat laying on my chest, and now I have to lift the phone to "over cat" height for it to recognize me, LOL. Maybe doing it a third time, cat-free, will be the charm.

When this years new iPhone came out I still owned:
6+, X and Xs Max iPhones. All purchased on their release dates

I used the iPhone X until I got the Xs Max. Used the Xs Max for one year and switched back to my X, because the Xs Max wasn't pocket friendly enough.

I purchased the 12 Pro(traded in the Xs Max). I love the size!
I still was curious about the iPhone 12 Mini. So on release day I went to the Apple Store to check them out. Once I had in my hand I loved it also!

So I traded In my iPhone X that I was using as a backup on Visible Wireless Service on the irresistible IPhone 12 Mini. I didn't expect to purchase 2 new iPhones, but here we are.

Still have my iPhone 6+ I use on Wifi while doing yard work.

Ah yes cats find a way to involve themselves in our technology.

My 12 mini has arrived today, and I already love this phone.
(Switched from the 12 Pro, because it's too heavy and too big for me, never get used to it even I've been using almost a month).

Now my 12 Pro is just for the spare and the mini is my new daily driver

I love the mini had it since the 13th and it’s near the perfect phone for me. Coming from a xs it’s great having a phone that’s light , prefect size imo and a powerhouse. Battery life is good enough for me id say I’m a medium user and I get around 5-6 hours screen on time that’s with %20 by 6-7 pm of the charger at 6am

been rocking the mini for close to a week today, loving it so far. I regret nothing! I never charge at night, but charge now and then during the day. No issues with battery coming from a 2.5 year old iPhone X.

Importing, editing camera photos in lightroom also works on this small screen - I just hold the phone closer to my face.

I did install a front screen protector even though I have AC+.

Are most of you going case-free on your Mini? I tried one on mine and it is just not the same- looks and feels less comfortable in the hand, so I am back to case-free. This is the first phone that I feel confident holding case-free, since the squared edges and smaller size make it so easy to hold onto.

Still tempted. My wallet (and my girlfriend) say that I can wait and stay with my XS, but the small factor really tempt me.

Some doubt only about battery life: any criticism about that?
I was right there man. Even ordered mini and have it for a week. waiting with XS for next year and hopefully we will see a better battery life. At least for a bit better.

I am running naked, feels so good 😊

First of all, congrats to Apple for getting that lock screen issue fixed so quickly. I thought it would take over a month or so at the earliest. And even then I wasn't sure it wasn't still a hardware problem. That's the main reason why I held off. But thanks to the fix, it's pretty much full steam ahead now for my purchase.

Am going to wait though for possible Black Friday deals from the various stores/carriers. If nothing really good comes up, then I will order from Apple. Otherwise, looks like I will be joining the club. Already got one clear case and one screen protector in hand. (now that I can actually use both at the same time). ;) Will most likely get that saddle brown Apple leather case as well.

Same here for me. Very light, nice and beautiful to hold. But very bad to read, had to increase the font size.
I have a couple of Nokia Windows phones lying around here. Both have much smaller screens, but both are much easier to read. Whatever Microsoft did, the fonts on Windows phone are in a different league - so easily readable and no need to zoom. Apple seems to have just miniaturised their larger displays. I'm keeping my mini, but I think they could have done much better.
