i went in physical shop, cant even hold iPhone, shop assistant cant even hold iPhone and show the back of iPhone
That's lame, only frame colors were visible, iPhone 12 Mini was in black while iPhone 12 was in Blue
12 Mini black has some frame blue tint perhaps due to the lights
Maybe you are right. These days are quite bad for trying everything by ourselves.

I came from an iPhone XS as well and agree: the battery life is better with the mini. It's not a dramatic improvement but it's there. I'd estimate maybe 30-45 minutes of on screen usage.
Like yeah, today I’m definitely killing my previous XS usage with this little mini beast. Today with 47% remaining 😮

Still loving my Mini. And coming from the 8+, I am really not missing the extra screen size that it had. That may come up eventually, but for now the Mini's screen size is perfectly adequate for my needs. Even typing still isn't a huge chore on it. Though admittedly I haven't typed in the equivalent to War and Peace yet. Face-ID continues to amaze how quick it is. And getting used the gestures hasn't been difficult at all. Only one time was I reaching for the Home button.

I also continue to like the size of it too. I don't have to contemplate, "Gee, which pocket will I think this phone will fit in. Let me think about this some more.." I just put it the pocket of choice and I know it will fit perfectly fine. Another benefit is I can use the phone one handed to take photos. I can hold another object in one hand take a photo of it with the other without it being an awkward exercise.

Call quality is great too. Haven't had any dropped calls or other connectivity issues yet. All in all, smooth sailing so far with my 12 Mini.

I tried to make it to 12S or 13, but my 6S is starting to have lightening port issues. So I just ordered a 12 mini 128gb in white. I’ll pick it up at the Apple store in the morning. Really wanted to hold onto the 6S another round, but oh well. My Apple Card cash paid for the first $200 and I had a gift card for another $100 off, so not that bad of a bite.

I’m sure I’ll be happy but will miss the convenience of the old headphone jack and Touch ID. I have at least two use cases for both, and will require adapters. But that’s progress.

looking forward to the mini. Really hate stuff in my pockets, so this should be nice.

I have recently switched from 11 to mini and for me only the first day was somewhat challenging while using them both side by side. Now that I am only using the mini I much more prefer its size, weight and overall ergonomics to those of 11. A perfect little iPhone. 👍

Yes it sucks losing touch id for sure. In regards to the headphone jack, you could use something like the Fiio i1 3.5mm adaptor which has a good dac chip in it so that you can use all your normal headphones as before. The standard £9 Apple adaptor is complete junk so avoid that in my opinion. The iPhone 12 mini is a fantastic phone though, one of Apples best in my opinion so hope you enjoy it.

Wow, I thought I’m the only one here been holding to my iPhone 6 after 6 years.

Actually my 6 is still doing fine, two years ago I replaced the battery and the performance is holding up for daily light use. But whenever I open recent updated social media apps, market place apps, and location based transportation apps like Uber and the likes of it, the device becomes unbearably hot and slow.
Not to mention it’s stuck on iOS 12. I’m sure next year I’ll find more third party apps’ updates will slow the phone even more.

Reminders app that I’m using also can no longer sync to the up to date version on my iPad Pro.
So I think this year is the right moment to upgrade to the new flat side design and Mini flagship series.
I imagine I’ll like the one handed operation even more with the very slightly narrower screen, back swiping using my right thumb will feel more comfortable.

Can’t wait for my black 128gb available to pickup on Sunday. Finally chose black over the white with pink tint to it.

My biggest annoyance so far is how Apple has relegated ProRAW to the Pro models only. Typically they hold features back because of a hardware incompatibility or capability, but this time it's clearly just a business decision.

6GB RAM in the Pro models vs 4GB in the non-Pro models. More hardware headroom for image processing.

I’m coming from an 11pro and absolutely LOVE the mini. After 2 days I’m totally used to the smaller size and battery is lasting until the end of the day with moderate to heavy use. One handed use is the biggest plus for sure. I have an iPad as well so this is the perfect combo for me. The black is beautiful, but I did get a black leather case as well.

Just hit a month with my Mini and I'm still very happy with it. I'm still bitter that Apple jacked the size of the Pro as I really wanted to keep the 12 Pro but it was just not feasible as a one-handed device, which I feel is a requirement for a mobile phone. The 11 Pro was on the line and if I hadn't been hasty and insisted on giving it up to Verizon while I was in the store getting the 12 Pro, I would have just stuck with that and returned both the Mini and the 12 Pro.

All that being said, the Mini is a solid replacement. I love the size, the color of both the back and the frame (I chose white) and the battery has been more than sufficient for my use case as I typically end my day around 65%. I hope they revert to a smaller size on the Pro line in the future but if they don't, I'll be rolling with the Mini line.

After a month of the mini, finally decided to get a 12 Pro

Reasons:

  • 5.4" is smaller than number suggest, due to narrowness of the phone (and forehead eating into that diagonal)
  • lots of mis-touches due to smallness of everything. (i have normal fingers). ive only had this previously with other "small" screen phones
  • battery is very fine now, but that's staying at home and using wifi. may change when more normal life resumes.
  • the 1-hand-operation is a bit overrated. i find myself using 2 hands to type, navigate, etc, anyway.

Humans are very good at adapting. My 6.1" full-screen previous phone which I once thought was reasonable, now seems quite oversized. But the iPhone at 5.4", seems closer to a 5.1" 5.2" in terms of perceived size, and is thus a tad small. This is most noticeable when watching most youtube videos in original format.

Something between the 12 mini, and the 12 standard, would be the Goldilocks size. But for now ill error on the size of More.

Xs, 11pro?
Exactly. When I heard the 12pro was going larger, I tried it but ultimately went with 12 mini. You always like Max size phones when you are on the couch playing games or watching videos.

You love mini size phones when its in your pocket.
