I always think I will skip an upgrade but never do. The 14 sounds somewhat old hat as I hear no rumors of huge new WOW features. Until some new tech arrives, all that will truly be new is the software.

I will upgrade from the 13 ProMax to the 14 ProMax. Also looking forward to the new 12.9 pro iPad.

Hanging onto mine.. Still only charges to 98 percent. Even new it only charged to 98. I may take it in again it should not do this. Took it in a while back and they said nothing was wrong with it.

I’m the opposite as well and have a launch day 12 Pro Max that I still love. The only issue is the battery have to be charged 2-3 times a day and I’m upgrading to the 14 Pro Max for better battery life.

2-3 times a day is rather unusual. Is your battery capacity below 80% and you’re a power user?

After recently switching to a 13 mini to try it out for a while (wanted to buy a blush pink one to save for my granddaughter anyway), I’m not sure what I’ll do. I have waited for a notchless phone for a while, but I am really loving having a small phone.

I‘m gonna wait and see how they look then make a decision.

If anything, see what comes out in September and hold off until Black Friday.

I plan on holding on to the 13 PM, like I did with the 12 PM, but if Apple offers that sweet instant off trade in of almost $800 like they did for the 12 Pro Max, plus the carrier discount even when buying it outright, I may upgrade, again.

Bought the 13 mini when shortly after it was released. Nothing to complain about, won't be upgrading for the next few years.

I’ve upgraded every year since the iPhone 5 and I think this might be the year I don’t but then that would break a 10 year streak of upgrading.

I don’t personally see the benefit of upgrading every year as the product just isn’t that much better in just 12 months. From the rumours I have seen on the 14, it’s again a slightly updated version of the 13. That’s fine for those on older devices but I can’t see the benefit of upgrading if you already have a 13 personally. Each to their own though, it’s not my money so makes no difference.

It used to be fun. But once the price starts to float in the $1000s, it got ridiculous. Looking at how sturdy, tanky and reliable the 13 PM is, it can easily last for another year or two. Provided iOS 16 or 17 don’t drain the the battery life on it.

13 series? I’m not moving from my 11 Pro Max until the 15 series (baring some sort of catastrophic event.)

11 PM, one of my favourite iPhones. Perfectly sized and has better ergonomics than recent iPhones.

I say the same but with AUP why not. Been upgrading every year since 4S. I don’t hate the notch but I do want it gone LoL. 14PM it is for me.

I think I'm going to try and keep this phone for three years at least. Longest I've ever kept a phone (11 Pro) was two years, and I'm at a stage in life where I don't care about upgrading every year.

Never mind 13, I held on to my 12 PM (Pacific Blue: the best iPhone color ever imo) last year and will do the same this year. I've upgraded every year since 2014, however the need and excitement have somewhat waned over time😗. So onwards to 15 PM next year!

How’s the battery life holding up?

Only thing that would make me switch is the USB-C port or the fact I can get better cash back now then a year later. It’s still at 100% battery capacity, it makes beautiful videos. I am not a heavy photographer, but photos are often subpar, unusable without Live Photo on (at some lighting conditions, the AI makes people look like a cardboard cutouts).

I'm also on a three year upgrade plan. I really like my 13 pro, and expect to have it for another couple of model years. I upgraded from the X mainly because of the camera, and wasn't disappointed.

Was waiting for the iPhone 14 Pro Max but when I heard the camera bump was going to be slightly larger and thicker I went ahead and got the green iPhone 13 Pro Max.
